If you block your wii u's mac in your router will it not also block the wii u from using loadiine from an online server? or is there a way that you can set it up to block all websites except for certain ones?
...or maybe i could just go look in my router settings lmao.
Blocking the MAC Address will stop all communications with the device. But yeah you might want to mess around in your settings and find the best way to do it. Maybe try a Parental Filter or something and only include a whitelist with the one URL for hacks.

Is that confirmed? Do you have a link back to where you heard it from? If so, let us know so fiveighteen can update his OP!
Added "LATEST NEWS" to the top of the OP and put all info about the IOSU Exploit under the "FUTURE EXPLOITS/HACKS" heading.

Awesome! I didn't wait for the reply and looked it up on my own... I can't wait for it to come out :) one of the best christmas presents I could get this year! Even if it turns out to be late. I'm still stuck at 5.5, but it wasn't by my choice. I got my WiiU from a friend who doesn't care about hacking, so I had to play the waiting game. Thankfully, as you've stated before, I have skipped most of the waiting period :)

Sorry I was a little slow on adding it in. I hope people don't trip out if it doesn't surface until like the second week of January... Just the fact that it's achievable and in progress is amazing! There are a lot of behind-the-scene things to be done, like obfuscation and getting it ported to all FW, not to mention the emuNAND solution he also said he was looking into.

It's fine! I understand that we all have lives in the real world :) You're right... Just the fact that it is actually in progress is definitely amazing! I hope I can actually start developing for it once it's out. I just hope I can understand more about the WiiU to be ABLE to develop. That's the main reason why I've been waiting... Not including being able to use what's already there ;) an emuNAND like what the Wii has would be amazing too... The more permanent solution for the hacking community :)

If you can search for and find/download the SDK you can already start digging into the functions that are available. I think some have been described on WiiUBrew.org.

Oh really? I wasn't aware that there was an SDK! And all this time I could have been learning... Well, better study up! Thanks!

I am newbie when it comes to Wii U. I bought my nephew Wii U bundle but haven't opened it yet. Basically I have never used/run a Wii U before. What is IOSU Exploit? Is it like CFW for 3DS?

Is there way to transfer game from fimrware 5.4.0/5.5.0 to 5.3.2?

IOSU exploit basically = full control of the system for homebrew (or even piracy) purposes. CFW would require full control of the system. Preinstalled games cannot be tranferred unless you are on an exploitable fw atm
Out of curiosity, which bundle do you have?

This one right here. Bought from MOM & POP game store. Were told it was trade in brand new. Also bought Mario Kat 8 latest bundle from Target during $250 sale period as back up plan. Would be great if I can make use of the Mario Kart 8 from Target because it has full warranty while the other only has 30 day return by the store (that's being unopened or go through the pain to prove that it was used/ modified before I opened if it's 5.4.0/5.5.0)

Well there aren't any 5.5 bundles yet, but either way you're set for an exploit. If it's MK8 my guess is you're either getting 5.3.2 or 5.4.0. Try the serial database for a match.
5.3.2-5.5 is getting something no matter what.

No serial matching from the ones on the list for the two bundle I am holding.

That "unopened" that is being said by the store owner. I have till December 28 to return it.
Did my research, that MK8 + Nintendo Land 32GB is so old I couldn't recognize it! I see it's earlier than December of 2014.
Congrats, you should be under 5.3.2!
September 2014
Wii U Brew:
"5 December 2014 Nintendo released system update 5.3.2 in Europe, North America & Japan."

Thanks. Before i heard the news on IOSU exploit, was praying this's brand new as the store manager said. Now I may want to return it and keep the Target bundle because of the warranty. I am aware of the warranty void using homebrew, still just want to have it in case gamepad is defective.

If they're absolutely the same bundle, I would take the Target bundle to be safe. Depending on the firmware version, you could use the existing userspace and kernel exploits right now.
Take a look

Target is the latest bundle which has preinstalled Mario Kart and DLC stated on the box. The other one, not sure whether it has preinstalled or physical disc.
