Hi there. I got a used O3dsxl and the camera app is broken. When I launch it, it gives me a black screen and force shutdown message. It also crashes with L/R combo and I can't even scan QR codes with cubic ninja. I updated but that didn't solve the issue.

Any suggestion?
Thanks in advance.

No. My system is already uptodate and it wasn't on an exploitable firmware when I got it.

I don't know about that because I got it from a pawnshop and it was used before.

If you live in a small town, I'd just say it's a broken system. However, if you live someplace highly populated, it may have been hacked or tampered with and that's why they are returning it. I'm not sure what you'd like to do about it, as there's not much you can do... You can sell it, or just not use the camera app; ever. You said it's because of Cubic Ninja, but you can't use it for that. Call Nintendo and ask them what your options are. If you're not on an exploitable firmware, you're screwed. I'm sorry for your issue..

That's the error you get if the console doesn't detect that the camera is connected. The ribbon cable is either not properly connected or may be torn. If the system had liquid damage it's common for corrosion to accumulate on the tip of the ribbon cable for the camera, which could also cause this problem.

I double checked the ribbon and it's definitely in place. It could be a faulty ribbon. I might open the upper screen and change it someday. But thanks for the suggestion :)
