I was thinking of using my 2DS as a controller for some of the Wii or Wii U games since the Gamepad is too big and the Wiimote feels...ugh!

For games like:
Mario Kart Wii/8
New Mario Bros. Wii/U
Smash Bros. Brawl
Mario Maker?
Mario 3D World
Wii/Wii U Virtual Console
etc.

Seems impossible since the Wii and Wii U can detect Wiimotes. Could we trick the consoles into thinking the 3DS is a Wiimote using Classic Controller?

EDIT: Yes, I know Sm4sh have Smash Controller. I wanted to know if we could do something similar like it for other games.

Since the 3DS doesn't use Bluetooth, it only might be possible if homebrew is used on BOTH systems, or if someone creates a bluetooth adapter for 3DS (in that case, you'd only need homebrew on your 3DS.)
And if you want touch, too, then you're asking for something practically impossible (mismatched resolutions).

If you want to create a physical adapter and homebrew that feeds the adapter its controls input, either via IR or wifi, and the adapter outputs through fully functional bluetooth, then maybe. Otherwise, you could just do it directly through wifi, but you'd also have to create a library for Wii/Wii U software that allows control from the 3DS over the network. It would only work for games that you could program to use the library, though. Official games and anything closed source would never work.

I believe it's possible...

For the GamePad, it uses a closed wifi network and not Bluetooth - also, see this thread https://www.reddit.com/r/wiiu/comments/368g2b/my_idea_on_using_libdrc_to_play_splatoon_using_a/ tools do exist that emulate GamePad input. This might be portable to the 3DS in some way but I don't think the 3DS uses the Wi-Fi type as the GamePad.

As for the Wiimote, it uses Bluetooth so nope there... Unless you were to use a 3DS > PC then a PC > Wiimote tool... But that'd likely cause latency.

Same goes for 3DS > PC then PC > GamePad.

Unless I'm wrong and was fed misinformation, the Wii U gamepad only streams video via wifi, the actual control inputs are still handled via bluetooth.

I think it's a bit mixed (some say Wi-Fi for all of it, some say Bluetooth for input) but I'm sure it's all Wi-Fi.

Or at least it sounds like it from reading http://libdrc.org

we can understand the BT output of the controller, then use the PC to control the wii/wii U, then controll the pc with 3ds home brew that already exist, then you control the pc with wifi which in his place controls the wii via BT. IDK if some'1 already controlled the wii with pc, but it's possible theoretically. about video streaming, IDK.
