Hello all! I've been using gateway emunand 9.2 for sometime now on my n3ds. But i was wondering is CFW better in anyway?
CFW does a few things GW doesn't, like being able to install GBA and DSi games. There's also cheat support with NTR. The latest GW update has cheat support too apparently but they have also issued a warning to DSTwo users which means genuine GW cart users could get caught up in the cross fire. Personally I would just stick with what you've got now assuming you don't need some quick cash from selling it (and who knows if GW will one day crack the 9.6+ keys and you need a GW cart for it).
http://gbatemp.net/threads/gateway-ultra-3-5-cheat-support.402801/This has absolutely no relevance to the main thread topic, but you said that Gateway issued a warning to DSTwo users. What did you mean by that?
Bad advice unless hes desperate for cash he should not do this in the event a New update is needed for something Gateway will have the resources to make the card usable again.Install CFW, then sell your Gateway.
You get to get free games while keeping your money :-)
They can brick DSTWO users if they use the latest 3.5 launcher.dat or brick by downloaded payload. You can discuss this in the linked thread. So you mean that Gateway warned people using devices with an "unofficial Gateway emulation plugin"? Are thy talking about the new DSTwo? And what can they even do about users of DSTwo?
