Hello guys,
Recently i thought about buying a new Wii U console. For now i own a Black Wii U with 32 GB and firmware 5.5.0. I heard that there is a kernel exploit for this firmware but maybe this one never get released. But i really want to have homebrew and that stuff. I thought about buying a white Wii U on lower firmware and an external hard drive with 1-2 TB (I dont know the GB of Wii U games, are 1 TB enough?). Well i would keep my old Wii U to play online. So what you guys think? Should i buy one now or still wait?

Thanks in advance! :)

the sooner you buy an exploitable console the better.
Thanks for the fast answer! Do you know how much GB a Wii U game has? I dont know which external hdd i should buy. And how can i block updates that my wii u stay safe? I already read about how to block updates but im not sure if i would do it right.

Wii U backups can't be played off a external HDD (yet). Only SD cards.
Wii U games vary but get as big as 25GB.
Most are less than 10GB i think.

Blocking updates can be done using this guide. (Use google translate for English)

Oh, thats bad because SD cards are much more expensive.
Umm blocking sounds so difficult. Im scared that I buy a new Wii U and it update to the latest firmware ^^". Do i need internet connection for the recent exploits?

I found an 32GB microSD by samsung with 95Mb/s writing and read for $22 brand new. It's not that expensive getting a good SD card nowdays.

Yes that's true, but that was just a microsd with high speed, and i don't think you'd need that many games.
Umm for me it is not important to have 95 mb/s writing speed, which is pretty good but i need more GB. If a game has 10 GB you can only save 2 games on your SD Card, which is pretty less anyway.

Yes i was just trying to say that even a great microSD card is very cheap.

Well that depends on what games you want. I mean most games on that list are not that big.

And No only some are 2GB after conversion.
The list gives the size after conversion.

Also before conversion is about 25GB.
