Anyone who knows me, I led the way for fixing bricked wii's when the wii's were getting bricked from waninkoko's bullshit apps. I figured it out with the help of Marcan and I wrote a rather descriptive tutorial so others can do the same repair as long as they had the tools. I have repaired well over 400 wii's, some coming as far as canada and brazil. You can ask any long time member about me and they will tell you that I do stand up with what I say.

So here's the deal. I have 6 (yes six) children to support. I don't have the free money to drop for this venture anymore. Luckily I obtained all my tools before I married my wife and committed to her children.

I am seeing more and more the need to be able to dump the flash chips and restore them. There has been a method shown to dump the EMMC, but a rather shitty method, and it does not include the NAND chips (as far as last time I read).

With so many people fucking around with their wii u's, there are going to be a lot of bricks happening. People need a way to back up their flash memory and restore it after a mishap.

I don't have the free money to toss around anymore, but I already have the tools. I just need a wii u. I am not about to open a gofundme campaign. If you people want someone who can give results then you know that I can do it for you guys.

What I will do is I will keep you chumps updated on my progress with it all. Once I have it all figured out I will write up a full tutorial for you chumps to be able to do it at home.

I plan to use a teensy 2.0++ at this moment. That has enough IO's, and it is an easily obtainable board for the general masses.

I just need someone to donate a working wii u or to donate the cash for for me to get a wii u.

If you people remember, I was the first person to dump the wii u's nand publicly, but in the end I had to return that wii u because I could not justify my desire for hacking over my need to feed my kids. But I did what I could at the time.

I don't have a paypal or a gofuckme account. I am sure XFlak would be willing to be an escrow person. We all know XFlak is an honest person too.

Yes. I understand that. There is 2 banks to the nand chip. That was something that was a little bit of a surprise to F0F when they divulged into the wii u. But through software.. I dont have a clue. I dont have shit for programming skills beyond QBasic. I have a few people for the programming side of this project, I am mostly the hardware guy.

Other than helping people and being a great community member, i dont give a shit. If this flops over then i will not feel bad at all every time i read of another brick.

a unbrick method doesnt really help people who are already "bricked", if they already wiped their nand or installed bad shit, backing it up and restoring it will not really help, imho before we really need the hardware nand restore methods, we could really do with a software nand dumping method....because the truth is for 90% of people by the time they get a hardware mod done they have already bricked their console or updated...at least with a software nand dumper then they *can* restore if/when they brick or accidentally update

I see what you've requested and I fully understand what it is you're looking for and why you're looking for it. What i'm not understanding is xFlak or whatever it is you need to actually get the funds/wii u. I'm willing to put down some funds but it would be nice to have a method of helping as opposed to help me but i don't have a gofundme or a paypal. you're american, so unless you're planning on everyone trying to do a western union or moneygram this isn't really going to be that easy without something that people can just do.

most people don't know how to downgrade, or even write code, they can make misstakes, but i never seen a complete wipout of a console by any homebrew before. i've seen a lot of srew-ups on a wii ps1, snes and so on but never have i even seen someone make that mistake except on a c64 (no surprise though, it was intensional written over by programmer to see what it would do).
so unbricking like i've indeed see done (and done myself) is a far better way than just hard rewrite your own nand.
sure it's more complete job, but repairing a partly working device when possible would be best by far by recovering messed up data. for wii this was almost alwys still possible when hardware was in good enough conditions. why wouldn't it be possible for wii u/ 3ds?

nad encryption etc, on the 3DS at least afaik there is currently no way of unbricking a console once its been screwed up unless you have a nand dump from that exact console, of course if its "partially working" to the point you can still launch custom code or recovery modes (if they exist) then you can recover via software in some cases

I agree, while deadlyfoez comes off harsh worded, he is capable and reputable here. I remember him adding gamecube ports to a non gamecube original wii too.

I MO it's good to have both software and hardware dump and restore method. For 80$ that shouldn't be hard for a community to come up with

well i just wanted to make sure my comment wasn't coming across as "complaining" . personally for me it would be cool, but for most people they tend to leave hardware mods too late to appreciate them, at least if there was a software nand dump method everyone could make a nand backup for all eventualities and ofc hardware methods are the most useful to have as you cant always guarantee your brick/accidental update will be recoverable via software

Pay attention people....When this ^guy talks it almost always means he knows more than he gives out.
I also do not ever remember a time this guy ever asked anyone to buy him anything for research.
I don't know the OP but all I can say is when he messes up the console you people pay for he will want more money to replace it to "further develop".
I find it funny the OP has made many comments in the wii u section but by his own admission does not own a wii u console.

Crediar has a reputation that goes back into GC times. Crediar gave you update and eshop spoof. (and much more in prior times)
And just basically in a nice way said "Hey everyone, do not waste your time with dumping nand via hardware. Just dump it in vWii with the already existing tools and just change the register in boot 1 to write a 0."

Sorry man (OP) I am not someone willing to give you money. Why is it these days everyone has their hand out asking for money?
If you guys are willing to hand out money then why not pool money together and try to bribe FOF to finish their work? I mean they did get pretty much everything minus boot0 in under a month.
If you are gonna hand out money then give it to the guys that will get you results very quick.

XFlak has a paypal, which is why I mentioned him. I actually still have to talk to XFlak first and run this by him, but I am positive he will have no problem with it since he has done this type of stuff for me in the past.
