Still getting a hang (yellow screen) upon launching apps after exitting from homebrew that launch under another title like youtube (mame, fba on menuhax 2.0). This launcher seems to be the only one having these issues, unfortunately.

If this issue can't be resolved, can we at least go back to how things were in earlier betas where the app just hung on exit? IMO it's easier and quicker to do the button combo to force quit an app than it is to launch into another app, force quit that, reload the launcher again, then load the app again.

You just answered your own question. Just force quit everything if everything is giving you issues.

Unless you're suggesting there hasn't been a major regression, I'm not sure what your point is. Force quitting everything isn't ideal nor does any of this happen with smea's launcher.

Then just use Smeas launcher?
In a perfect world all of this would work perfectly and there wouldn't be any problems. But it's not a perfect world and mashers is doing his best to make this one of the greatest Launchers on the 3DS. Yes it will have problems. Yes there will be times where something will break. Yes there will be times where it's not going to work the way you want.

But get this, @mashers is doing this of his own free will and didn't have to do anything to make it where it could do all these crazy things that it does.

But it does work and it is is getting better and it will still be the first launcher I choose.

Just give it time to mature all the way, for as you know Rome wasn't built in a day.

Ok, I think I just lost the last bit of motivation I have to fix this issue.

I'm not trying to get you down, but I'm not trying to sugar coat things either. There's been a lot of focus on feature adding while there's some issues which smea's launcher doesn't exhibit. I get that bug fixing and optimization aren't fun, but even you have admitted the code is getting a bit bloaty and running into the space limit.

Yes and that's what this thread is for, bug reports and constructive criticism.

EDIT: Hopefully @suloku or someone will fork this launcher if @mashers is done.

Xeno and a few other people have mentioned in this thread they went back to earlier (90-93?ish) betas, so I assume so.
I am currently stuck on beta 98 as I have not been able to get to a wifi source (I use my phone to get on here) and I'm looking forward to updating whenever I can.

Don't let one person get to you like that mate. If you gotta take a few days break from the launcher than take a break. Clear your mind and then sure enough when you start back in on it you will have an 'AHA!!!!' moment and rip into the launcher with Gusto!

I have been diligently adding the features with others have requested. As for the bugs, I'm not experiencing any at all. So someone else can fix them.

Some people just don't understand that you are doing this for fun and don't get paid for it in anything except gratitude and well wishes and do this as something to do in your spare time.

Shoot... You and @RedHat have been going at the one launcher issue for the past 2-3 days wracking your brains and rewriting chunks of code just to figure out what was wrong. That's pure dedication. And I ain't good at the motivational things but I'd be d*mned if I would let one or two ungrateful people be the reason I stopped working on something.

@mashers take a long over due break from here and come back only when you are ready. The attitude of some people towards you is shocking you have went out your way to provide people with the best launcher only for some people to bitch and moan about petty little things. Thanks again for everything you have done and enjoy your time away mate.

I'm just here exiting my apps by presing and holding L+R+D+B and enjoying all the great features this launcher haves. @mashers just want you to know that you're my favorite dev. Not only your work is awesome but you have always make it seem fun. Thanks for always listening and taking the time to respond to our feedback. It makes us feel part of your team even if we don't know much about coding. Hope you feel better after your well deserved break.

-snip-

1st - there should be no reason for anyone to be on the defense of a HBlauncher. This works for me with Ninjhax 2.1 and some apps on Ninjhax 2.5, but keeping it 100%, this is the best launcher out period. If you don't like it go somewhere else and bother this thread no more.

2nd - If you can't get it to work on 2.5 revert your Ninjhax and leave the op alone period!! all features work for me on both systems in my signature, so figure some things out on your own people.

3rd - When did all these kids get so lazy that they only, beg not ask, for a fix and gripe when their setup fails on janky updated systems with no prior knowledge of how any of this actually works.

4th - Soon all these kids will be gone anyway, and almost all systems above 9.2 will be Homebrewless. Then we can get serious on the threads again.

5th - Why are there soooo many threads that should be in one spot...(NOOB QUESTIONS SECTION) floating in all discussions on this site now.

I love CFW and this launcher, and I'm having a blast. Let us now commence the fun folks!!

P.S. - Quote me/reply all you want, The only thing I do here is get information and real help. I never read those things anyway... Peace :)

This is sad folks.......

Well said. Let's hope the trolls can stop with the ad-hominem attacks and get this back on track for mashers's great launcher.:grog:
