I'm trying to update Pokémon Omega Ruby but it won't let me access the eShop until I update the system. I'm on a New3DS GW 9.5.0-23E. Help, thanks.

I'm pretty sure if you install freemultipatcher.cia and run it when you get into emunand you should be able to get into eshop

Alright thanks, but what the hell is that?
Lol I know things get confusing because nothing is streamlined in the 3ds scene yet

Search for the thread called freemultipatcher and download the CIA file

Use your CIA installer(big blue menu, fbi etc.) to install free multipatcher to emunand

Then whenever you boot emunand you run the program(it'll be an icon on your home screen) and it'll allow you to access eshop

Let me know if you need more help after

Is 0.5 the latest?
I don't know I've never used it I'm on old 3ds so my emunand is up to date

Try it out it can't hurt and if it works then everything's peachy if not then keep trying let me know how it goes

And what's that?

Yeah but I'd rather avoid betas.

Anyway done, I'm in eShop. Thanks a bunch for the help.
Quick question, BigBlueMenu vs Devmenu? Just for info.
BigBlueMenu is just a newer version of DevMenu that will recognize DLCs. So BBM ;)

Well its going to be in beta for a while until the dev has a reason to update a working app. Just give it a try.

Well the normal 0.5 version worked anyway so would there be any reason to use the beta? I have no idea exactly of what this tool does honestly...

Version 0.6-Beta2
* Application folder(fmp) will now be created at first start
* Added version string to the menu

Version 0.6-Beta
* Added the ability to load patches from files
* Added the possibility to check for patch compatibility
* Added the possibility to check for an update (press select for this)

So basically, the main difference is that it can load custom patches from the SD card. If you don't have any, that makes no difference to you ;)

It patches some applications temporary(until you reboot).
One of these is nim, which the eshop(and other applications) asks for existing updates. After the patches are applied nim will always answer that no update is available, so the eshop will connect to the servers and you can use it. :)

In my newest Beta I added the possibility to load own Patches from the SD card, but I haven't heard of anybody who created other patches, so there is no difference for you, if you use the new version.
