thank you!
which hax version was this ? 2.5 ?
Oh right sorry, currently 2.1. Had to downgrade in order to figure out what was going on with the stutter/lag/vertical tearing thing some of us are seeing. And if you don't hear it enough, thanks for all the awesome work on this!

Doh, I forgot I meant to ask you if you had a chance to reply, but did anything change in how things are rendered to the screen at all between the 10/2 build and the 10/15 build? Sorry I don't have a smaller window there, but those are the two builds I am comparing between. Some of us are seeing a vertical tearing effect on the left side of the screen in various emulators (for me in CatSFC, haven't tested others). Its noticeable big time in the Metroid video I posted earlier. The thing is, its not present in the 10/2 build, and not everyone is seeing it apparently in newer ones. Figured best to get some insight from the man himself!

I can't really reproduce the tearing issues you have, so no, I have no idea what is causing them at the moment. I can't test catsfc since it doesn't run fullspeed here, but all other cores that reach fullspeed don't show any kind of tearing.

can someone run this on n3DS, either hax 2.1 or 2.5, and then post a screenshot? (I need one for each hax version).

Ok thanks for checking. Any reason you can think of why newer builds would work differently in that regard than older ones? If I had moved to a different 3DS during that time I could say hardware minute differences maybe mattering, but this is on the same system.

@Ardend I can't really say at the moment.

thank you all ! I updated the test based on the info provided, this will hopefully be the last one and would answer most questions I'm currently having regarding memory on n3DS.
only a test on 2.5 is necessary this time:

Ok thanks @aliaspider! It doesn't seem to be a widespread issue, and even seemed to correct itself for @Slasher115, so I'm sure its something that will resolve itself as more and more improvements are added. Thanks again for all the hard work!

After updating from Ninjhax 2.1 to 2.5, no build of the PCE emulator will work (seems others are having the same issue). I'd like to go back to 2.1 until this issue is fixed, but can't seem to do it. I have the 2.1 Qrcode saved, but scanning it just crashes my 3DS, now that the host only has 2.5. How are some of you downgrading to 2.1? (btw, I have a New 3DS XL with firmware 9.0.0-20U)

All available cia versions tested with GS2 the lost age.

Releases before the 10/17 have the infinite loop on GS2 (otherwise running at 59 FPS)

Releases from the 10/17 to the 10/20 (included) curiously have no infinite loop and no crashing, but run at approximately 27-30 FPS! Also these versions are incredibly talkative on the bottom screen.

Releases after the 10/20 are freezing/crashing on GS2 (and GS1 is now also broken) - both running at 59 FPS before the crash

Tested on gPSP core, cia build, 9.0 N3DS using Rxmode (Rxtools latest Lavanoid nightly)
I honestly have no experience with RxTools, I'm using GW Emunand.
You're using emunand, not sysnand, right?

About DSP stuff : just to be clear, I can use any game, they all include the DSP right ?

I can't see any tearing issues in SMAS+SMW or Super Metroid (the only games I've tried) through CATSFC. I do see it in the CATSFC+ core however, along with jerky framerate every so often. I've tried messing with some settings but nothing fixed it.

I'm using the 10/27 build and I'm on hax 2.5

has anyone ever managed to run NXengine? i just tried it a few minutes ago but exploded on me while tryint to load the exe.

NXEngine has worked for me since the very first nightlies back in September. It takes a while to load, though, but I can confirm that it is working as of the 2015-10-27 nightly.
