Its telling me hay in order to use the browser, I need to update my system D:

Is there anything else I can do? Running in system 10.1 I believe, with an Old 3ds

Yup, I've been there. My only option is CubicNinja. I have Smash though, but have no idea how to set it up

Smash is new3ds only, so still your only option is CN. I'm in the same boat :'(
