This app in particular only opens and edits the character files. Eventually i'll either write a new app specifically for stages, or i'll make a new app and integrate this editor into it. Most likely the former at least at first.
For the characters, does this also change animations??

lol now I have no idea what I have to input exactly for Fighter... and Parse Animations

--------------------- MERGED ---------------------------

color me impressed at my own failure at basic things @Sammi Husky :glare:

For opening the Fighter, just select the character's folder that has the main, gfx, sfx, and expression .bin files in them. The Parse Animations button allows you to select the animation file for the character, which is where it gets the names for the scripts. Otherwise they're just numbers (the hash of the animation name). The animation file is normally called main.pac. Since the 3ds folder structure is different from the wiiu's, i can't tell you exactly where it is though.

ok thanks m8

How do we repack the DT?

I don't think anyone got around to getting the DT repacked. Though i'm fairly certain it's pretty simple. I'll be taking a look at it fairly soon though.

searches i run for main.pac using window's file explorer doesn't find anything, sadly.

Are you unpacking the full game by chance? or just an update / patch? The updates don't contain all files, just the ones that have been changed of course. If you've unpacked the full game, then i'll have to take a look at the 3ds file structure again, though im pretty certain the .pac files are used across both versions.

Fairly sure it's the full game, dumped from my own cartridge. Took like three hours with oldest version of Braindump, endresult was like 1.1GiB.

Made one successful change so far - Mii Gunner fires forward air once per frame from frames 10 to 27 rather than once on 10. However, I haven't been able to test it yet because there's the issue of repacking dt + ls (something I have ZERO clue how to do), then repacking romfs (i only have a little understanding of how to do this), then converting romfs folder back into .bin form (which I'm not even sure I have to do), then hoping HANS is fixed (which it isn't yet). Ugh.

edit: scratch the repack romfs step, it's literally a matter of getting the dt + ls repacked

Alright, fixed a few things and pushed a hotfix to the app. The motion files on the 3ds are main.bch (whoops, working on the wiiu side a bit too much). Get it here. I pdated the Main post's download link as well.
