I think your only option right now is to use Cubic Ninja.

Damn, I don't have that game. I have Ocarina of Time 3D but... I don't know, buying a save dongle just to fix something temporarily doesn't seem to be worth it...

Oh, and the installer didn't let me go up to -28 (I think I selected OLD 3DS 10.2.0-0?). Yeah, pretty stupid of me. Was this an outdated version that somehow got onto smea's Twitter, or what?

The link always leads to the newest version, so if you downloaded it yesterday or today it should be good. Also, I don't think the number after 10.2 matters in the version number. What matters the most when installing Ironhax is whether you select NEW or OLD, as well as your console's region and Ironfall version.

Pretty sure I did everything correctly. Maybe I still fucked up somewhere?... What would appear if I chose the wrong FW/Ironfall update/etc. and updated it? I don't think I have 1.2 iirc.

I'm currently trying to get Smashhax, though I'm only on 1.1.0, does it still work?

From reading around, people have been keeping IronHax 2.1 save file and installing IronHax 2.5 to another save slot rather than overwriting the IronHax 2.1 file. You should probably have done that :p
Unfortunately not much you can do with it anymore :/ unless you know someone who has Cubic Ninja or OoT that could reinstall your IronHax. Or maybe a trusted member here you could mail your 3DS to so they'd re-install IronHax.

Probably worth it IMO, because that way you'll always have a backup method available if you accidentally messed up something, or if someone else accessed your 3DS and messed up something in your place.

Please never get IronFall 1.2, it patches the exploit used for IronHax.
I think SmashHax only works for N3DS so you may be out of luck here (I think I understood that you were on O3DS yeah? Or at least you say you were picking the OLD 3DS option in IronHax installer, so correct me if I'm wrong.)

I'm not sure what would happen if the wrong region/version was selected, but it definitely wouldn't install correctly and wouldn't work. Also, do not download the newest Ironfall update, because it completely disables Ironhax.

As for SmashHax, I actually have no idea. I never really looked much at entrypoints other than Ironfall, as I've been using it from the first day Smea released Ironhax, and didn't really feel like I needed more than one *Hax.

Yeah uh, I feel really dumb. I forgot about saving to another slot... :/ I do have OoT like I said... alright then, where can I get a save dongle that ships to Europe, preferrably Portugal?

And I don't think I have the newest version of Ironfall, no. I don't turn on my 3DS since 2 weeks or so ago, and I didn't even have internet.

You should make a WTB thread in the Trading Forum here on GBAtemp, or see if someone is already selling one there.

I don't think that possible to install 2 version of Ironhax. On Sunday I tried and ended up corrupted boot.3dsx! I had to reinstall Ironhax through Browserhax after replacing with a new boot.3dsx.

i just want to make sure i'm going to do this right: i have a n3ds on 10.1 (with ironhax working) and an o3ds on 9.9 (also with ironhax). i want to update both to 10.2 and have ironhax still working. i need to install the correct payloads before i update the firmware, and then i will still have ironhax working afterwards, correct?

The boot.3dsx at the root of your SD card is unrelated to IronHax. IronHax boots the boot.3dsx file, you install IronHax in the game on a save file and you get boot.3dsx on your own to put it on your SD card afterwards. :p

In fact, that boot.3dsx doesn't even have to be a homebrew launcher. It can be any homebrew.

One question: why update to 10.2?
I recommend never updating. If you need to access the eShop, you can do that through HANS, so that shouldn't be a problem.

Yes, first update payloads to 10.2, then the consoles.

That's weird. After installed 2 version of Ironhax on different save slot, Ironhax crash when I picked either of the. Then I tried Browserhax, same problem. Themehax works just fine. Only after I replaced the suspecting boot.3dsx, HBL worked again with the browserhax. Then I have to reinstall Ironhax.

update nags are annoying, it's just easier to have them both fully updated.

Yes, first update payloads to 10.2, then the consoles.

thank you!

Fair enough, but then you may miss out on any breakthrough that might come in the future for 9.9 and 10.1. Do keep that in mind.

So you need a separate device to inject a save file into a game cartridge? Thank you, I was about to buy the game ^^"

About the possibility of keeping several versions of the payloads (on different save slots), where can I find older ironhax installers for payloads before the 2.5 hax ? Thank you in advance, and sorry if this is out-of-topic. (I didn't want to open a new thread for a single question)

If you have another entry point you are currently using, you can write the save file using various homebrew.

(I'm an idiot.)
I had homebrew on 10.1 just fine and mistakenly upgraded to 10.2.0-28 and can't figure out how to get homebrew again (o3DS). I asked elsewhere but the replies weren't quite specific enough. I can't use the OoT exploit without using something else (Cubic Ninja etc.) first right? Is there any way to get homebrew running on 10.2 without Cubic Ninja?

this thread's a bit outdated (10.3.0-28 is out now), but for oot3dhax, you can use a device called powersaves to put the exploit on the game card. other than that, you're pretty much out of luck without Cubic Ninja.
