Hacking [N3DS] Gateway + Cubic + Zelda Tri Force.

Wondering if someone can help me I have been out of the 3DS scene for a while and just wanted some advice on the best steps.

I have a Australian N3DS with System Firmware 9.2, I have Cubic Ninja and Gateway 3DS I also have EmuNand setup with my Gateway 3ds.

Now my understanding is Gateway 3DS Emunand does not currently support the latest 3ds firmware version on the N3DS so my question is what is the best way for me to run the new games such as Zelda Tri Force heroes? I have done a bit of reading into CFW etc but just cannot seem the find the right way to go with my setup.

Any advice is welcome, thank you

You have to use what is called a cryptofixed rom/cia. You can find one for Triforce Heroes on that iso site.

Yeah I have that part sorted just wondering how I go about installing it, do I just use the DEV Menu built into Gateway 3ds? or is there a certain program I use to install CIA files?

You'll need to use a CIA installer such as FBI or BBM

Dev menu will install one of those too. It'll work for his purposes.

Don't have a gateway so I got no idea how it works, might leave this one to you as it seems you have more knowledge in the field

Well, dev menu is the "official" Nintendo CIA installer. We only have it because of the SDK leak. I have it, but I don't have a gateway.

Oh I know that Dev Menu is now, I thought he was referring to an app built into gateway called Dev Menu. I understand now

Ok. Just clarifying. In my opinion, Dev Menu and FBI are tied for my favorite CIA installers.

Yeah sorry I was referring to the app built into my Gateway when I press select in Gateway mode that is called "DevMenu" So I just need to find a CIA installer sweet thanks guys

Ahh, the classic devmenu.3ds. Hit me up by PM, I may have some stuff for you.

And if he wants, he can also directly use the rom since 3.4.

Why not use cryptofixed? It seems to be a good term given what you're doing. And CIAs still need "cryptofixed", for lack of a better term.

Gateway added some features that allow it.

To quote their post about the 3.4 update:
"Summary:
* Fixed new antipiracy check
* Improved firmware spoofing"

And regarding cia, isn't it sufficient to convert the ROM to cia to avoid any crpytofix-shenanigans?

The "cryptofixed" term is only for eshop games which have the 9.6 seed crypto. For this game only a fw spoofed exheader is needed.

Triforce Heroes, if in CIA format and an eShop dump, and not cartridge, does use the 9.6 seed crypto. That's how the game was "unlocked" early.
