Don't we have SD access already? Thought loadiine works off of that...It's impossible without SD or USB, basically.

I don't think the IOSU exploit is finished yet... Plus loadiine might use a seperate thing for SD access.Don't we have SD access already? Thought loadiine works off of that...
So why can't we use the current Mii Maker bug to give rights to access SD or load a homebrew loader from there?Yeah, it loads everything into memory from Mii Maker since it's one of the few titles that can access it, anything else besides like Smash is a nono
Sorry, what's UCap?It's impossible without SD or USB, basically.
Capturing game footage on Wii U. I'm sooo hype for it.Sorry, what's UCap?
Ohhhh I understand now Yes I am excited for that too!Capturing game footage on Wii U. I'm sooo hype for it.
Because it's not a bug, it's using the kernel exploit to run our own code ala TCPGecko to open SD, put it all in memory in the background, and then exit out and when you go into another title it just loads it in properly. You only have access when that app is running. So why can't we use the current Mii Maker bug to give rights to access SD or load a homebrew loader from there?
Basically HDMI grabber for a few bucks I already have, so not that exciting.Ohhhh I understand now Yes I am excited for that too!
Well it saves money so yeah...Basically HDMI grabber for a few bucks I already have, so not that exciting.
I didn't think that the Mii Maker was an app that could run in the background?... Maybe I'm misunderstanding what you're saying, but from what I currently understand homebrew that sticks in memory is currently runnable from the Mii Maker without it being openBecause it's not a bug, it's using the kernel exploit to run our own code ala TCPGecko to open SD, put it all in memory in the background, and then exit out and when you go into another title it just loads it in properly. Correct, that's how TCPGecko goes between apps, it's stored in the 0xA0 range next to coreinit and such. Anything that isn't a "quick launch" app (IE the 5 icons at the bottom including the browser) cannot run in the background. However, as dant said, you can only use what the actual app is allowed, only 2 apps currently have permission from Cafe OS to open and access the SD card, Smash and Mii Maker. Anything else will get an error.I didn't think that the Mii Maker was an app that could run in the background?... It's not Cafiine, it opens it twice, and the first time I assume it does some checks, so I guess it's checking the rom file for integrity. If you could get me an RPX that would be really helpful, since I've been trying to port dumpiine and it doesn't like meSo cafiine does not work on newer DS titles that use rom.zip, the VC doesnt wait for cafiine to replace the file and tries to start when the file isnt even replaced yet, any chance there could be some cafiine fix for this?
even using the original dumped files, i used all the original rom.zip that came with the dsVC dumped by me and still cafiine couldnt stop the DS VC title. It's not Cafiine, it opens it twice, and the first time I assume it does some checks, so I guess it's checking the rom file for integrity.
Can do that for youIt's not Cafiine, it opens it twice, and the first time I assume it does some checks, so I guess it's checking the rom file for integrity. If you could get me an RPX that would be really helpful, since I've been trying to port dumpiine and it doesn't like me
it has one of each VC type rpxs, DS one is hachi hachi,n64 is vessel and i dont remenber which one is wich next lol guess opening should tell. It's not Cafiine, it opens it twice, and the first time I assume it does some checks, so I guess it's checking the rom file for integrity.
