Sweet~
Iirc, DSi had one that was downloadable from the eshop right?
3DS has one that's $1.99 (like really), DS/Lite had an integrated one  (although not as cool as this one ;), except for the fact that you could actually close the console).
I don't have a DSi so idk about that.

When Smea releases his NH update, with sleep mode feature working, I think your HB perharps will be essential on any console!

IDK if you already saw it already but turning off screens is now a thing.
https://github.com/Rinnegatamante/lpp-3ds/commit/4210050ebfcab2179d429784b282e9296d95640c

The only thing to keep in mind is to check for 2DS before turning off either screen, because turning off one will result in the entire screen turning off (the 2DS only has one physical screen). A decent alternative for 2DS is to draw a black framebuffer on the bottom screen and ask that users use "Power-Saving Mode" as part of their brightness settings (this mode will make the 3DS auto adjust how bright the backlight is based on what's being displayed, but the colour reproduction will be worse; when you're running an alarm clock at night, the colour reproduction wouldn't matter). I guess on the other hand though, one could simply turn both backlights off and then come back on when the touchscreen/a button is pressed.

That's exactly what I want to do.
I don't know about other people but I like ABSOLUTE DARKNESS when sleeping :P

Then yeah, go ahead. You could even add a timeout (say 5 seconds or something) to turn the screens off automatically when no buttons have been pressed. That way the time could be checked if someone wakes up in the middle of the night and uses the 3DS for a few seconds.

Released 1.3.2 and 1.4.
1.3.2 just adds a pre-included alarm. 1.4 adds also background images, but it introduced a bug where selecting an alarm (after the initial selection) freezes the program. Therefore, I added both versions.
I'm pretty stumped about the 1.4 bug, I don't think I've modified any of the code related to loading the audio files. Maybe it runs out of RAM...

Cool. ...But some bugs/glitches I found: I set off the alarm, I exited off to Homebrew, went back to Alarm Clock,

1: it still sets off an alarm, I tried to toggle it off and it won't even stop.

2: I went to some games/apps such as blargSNES and Aperture Sceince 3D, it makes a buzzing noise, and freezes when I start playing.

It fixes when I go to Nyan Cat app.

I don't really know a way to truly solve those. For the first one, turn off the alarm before exiting. For the second one, maybe turning it off might solve it too, but if that doesn't solve it, try waiting a minute or two in the launcher then entering the game/app you want.

'k thanks. I understand you can't solve the bug.

BlargSNES and Portal 3DS freezing aren't the fault of this program; if you're using themehax/homemenuhax, you need to run something like Nintendo 3DS Sound before running blargSNES/Portal, otherwise they'll crash the 3DS (because they try to use the 2nd core of the CPU, and can't without another Nintendo app running first).

Heh I hadn't thought of that, since FTP-3DS does crash somewhat frequently after using Alarm Clock.

Sadly Alarm Clock, like alot of other apps, has been broken as of *hax2.5.
Maybe instead of a new update we just have a 2.1b version and a 2.5 version?
I don't think it'll be able to work on both.

Yeah I tried loading a wav last night and it totally froze XD I'll try with a newer version of lpp-3ds.

Edit: Officially broken. Refer to this post by Rinnegatamante for more info.
