Any way to see what's changed from one nightly build to the next? The changelog.txt doesn't ever show anything.

I keep trying the nightly builds hoping that SNES9x will run link to the past full speed, but sometimes I'm not sure if anything has even changed in that particular emulator.
The nightlies are just automatically compiled builds from whatever state the sourcecode is currently in. You'd probably have to go into the sourcecode to find the changes. Honestly, if you're looking for something playable, you should probably wait until a stable build is released.

c.

You could put the savedata to the path you set in the setting. It won't be under the same directory with.rom by default.

Hm, not sure what your getting at. I can load up the save data just fine in SNES9X, but as far as I can tell catsfc doesn't support loading a save file like that so that's why I'm waiting for SNES9X to run better. Are you saying there's a way to load save files in catsfc?

EDIT: I'm on an n3DSXL, on 10.1 running ninjhax, and I have a save file I want to load up from my computer, which I can't use in catsfc.
Oh, well CatSFC runs that full speed.

They go in SD://retroarch/cores/savefiles/

Will a savefile from SNES9X work with CatSFC? I could not for the life of me get CatSFC to load up my savefile from SNES9X (I had been playing link to the past on a raspberry pi using SNES9X, wanted to transfer it over to my 3DS).

A savestate wouldn't but a savefile should work.

Hm. Well I did try putting the save file in the location you mentioned, but CatSFC would not recognize it. I eventually found this wiki page, which seemed to indicate CATSFC didn't support save files at all: http://wiki.libretro.com/index.php?title=CATSFC

Is that wiki wrong then and I'm just putting the savefile int he wrong spot or something?

It definitely supports save files. I beat Yoshi's Island in it.

Right, and it does indeed keep my progress if I start a new game on it and save. But it didn't seem to work with srm files. I guess I'll try again, maybe I did put it in the wrong folder or something dumb. :P

Well it does. CatSFC saves in srm format.

it doesn't support the libretro savefile system that is all, it does support saving sram, with a different extension probably, just look where catsfc puts its save files and replace it with the one from snes9x.

Neko Project II may be worth considering porting over. There is already a Wii version of it with sources too.
From what I understand retroarch was made to be portable. I don't think Neko Project II was, so it's probably a lot less likely.

How well does the wii version run? I tried Neko Project II on my PC and it ran like face while T98-Next ran flawlessly.

Picodrive now has fullspeed on cutscenes of the Lunar scenes, not fluctating between 55-60 with choppy sound anymore like the earlier versions.

I just tried Virtua Racing on the MegaDrive which uses the stupidly-overpowered SVP enhancement chip. Menus are full speed but in-game it seems to average 31fps in Pictdrive, and around 30fps in Genesis Plus GX. The screen does seem to scale a bit better using the latter for some bizarre reason, though.

This is on a New 3DS.

Yeah and the saves are compatible with snes9x he should just have to check the location

Oh my god that would be glorious

Also, a small off Topic, does the Wii version of Retroarch have a Mupen64 core? How does it run?

No. Wii doesn't have OpenGL support. And I don't think mupen is planned for the 3ds
