What if you only have ironhax

Only if it's an emuNand 9.9.0. sysNand must be 9.2.0 or lower. No Ironhax, Tubehax, or Cubic Ninja 2.

You cannot use Ironhax, Tubehax, or Cubic Ninja 2 to run FBI.

I'm sorry for being such a noob, but I can't get FBI to work in reiNAND (I nuked the old emuNAND so it's 9.0.0-20U). I keep getting the "cannot initialize AM service" error. Can anyone please help me?

Edit: I've tried the newest version of Pasta and still the same error. I'm attempting the latest stable release.

Edit2: I've managed to launch the latest stable release selecting the "give me some pasta" option and then started FBI and I get the same error.

Edit3: rxtools never gets me any further than the standby screen so that may not be an option.

Edit4: I decided to ensure that I have the latest version of FBI and now when I try to install BBM to my emuNAND within reiNAND, I get an error saying that the install failed.

The screen pretty much says this:

Seems like I just cannot inject FBI into my emunand without at least installing FBI on sysnand first and creating a new emunand afterwards ... at least i have not found a way yet. I would really like to just not touch my sysnand at all

That was what I had to do. I've touched my sysnand a few times and the only lasting things I did was apply the nds flashcard fix and the mset exploit, which are rather minor. And that's not including the legit/clean roms. Basically, fairly minor things, really.

edit: GW user on 4.5 FW.
I'm not concerned .cia functionality on sysnand, but rather ROP loading

You can actually use PastaCFW to install FBI on sysnand

Know that i think about the statement i have just given to you earlier, i considered it may be a good idea to add that of course it will actually only run when you are using it after booting PastaCFW every time. This is because of the digital signatures which FBI obviously does not have.

Long story short: you will need something that is disabling the digital signature checks of the firmware.

That happens when you install an out of region game. Use free multi patcher or rxtools to enable region free and the icon should appear. Then you can go to system settings-data management and delete it from there or if you know the title id you can delete it from sysnand with fbi but this is much risky.

THX for your reply. But the blank icon is FBI itself. when i boot in rx mode sysNAND i have four black icons.

Oh ok I've heard about those back icons. Do they show up in data managment where you can see and delete the cias installed?

You can use FBI 1.4.14 to highlight FBI 1.4.14's CIA file to see FBI 1.4.14's title ID in the top left corner

Does anybody know why i have three black blank icon when i boot in RX Mode sysNAND?
I have an O3DS with Firmware 4.5 and the latest Emunand with my Gateway.
This three black icons only appear in RX Mode sysNAND and are not bootable. They don´t disturb me but i really want to know what they are.

Dumb question, but I was told that to update a .CIA (wanted to update RetroArch), I just install the newer version and it would overwrite the older one. I need the newest version of FBI for setting up the MSET exploit for RxTools. Can I update FBI.cia using the .CIA, or do I need to download and use the .3DSX version? Basically, can I update using the exact same copy of FBI that I want to update, or do I need a separate copy?
