Is not that some of us does not want to update, is simply that we can't update due to economic circumstances (and the bad luck of living in a 3rd world country where a O3DS is expensive as fuck, 3 minimum wages exactly).
Honestly, I get that - I edited my post to add that point. It's why I took so long to upgrade myself - it wasn't worth 15,000 yen for me to upgrade when only one commercial game requires the machine. In the end, I made the plunge based on the new Ninjhax improvements. The difference has surprised me. I thought the additional cores wouldn't make much of a difference, but it does. mgba has gone from unplayable to nearly full speed. Something more is going on under the hood.

It's the same with the Sega one too.... I'm guessing because it's only a starting process so there is some small things Im just hoping they will get better in time

catsfc in the latest nightly performs exceptionally well on New 3DS. Some nonworking blargSNES games (e.g. The Firemen) are working, and even Super Mario Kart works full speed (!). The Mario Kart (also used in Pilotwings) DSP isn't too fancy, but other enhancement chips like Super FX will drag things down. Star Fox runs about 30FPS, Yoshi's Island does 40-45 FPS. The SA1 from Kirby Super Star and Mario RPG seems to cut performance to about 15FPS (tested using Kirby), so those are probably out, too.

Here's Wikipedia's list of games with enhancement chips. You should have some luck trying other DSP games, you're on your own for the rest.

I have always liked the retroarch concept and use them on our TV box. Great compatibility and options. Was always wanting a Genesis emulator and this one is great. Runs full speed for the games my kids like. A tip for anyone though is to use the ninjhax 2.1beta boot file. At first tried to use the 1.1b boot file and kept crashing. I am on exploitable firmware so the reason I had the older boot file initially.

Wow, catsfc really surprised me. It's running Super Mario All-Stars at a consistent 60fps with audio and everything. Donkey Kong Country runs at 60fps with great sound too! So does Super Metriod! I need to keep testing. :P

Oh, yeah. I'm already using that. Lol.

I haven't done much with gba games yet so won't be able to compare till I do. But this retroarch port is exciting as I like the way they performed on other platforms. Later I will try see what options work in the gui as the config layout they employ can be useful to take you in a directory where the roms are. But don't know if that is implemented fully yet.

Honestly, all they need to do is fix that screen tearing issue and I could use most of these as my primary emu.
