Isn't it userland only though? I thought that's why people gave up on it some time ago.
There's nothing wrong with being userland only though. Unless you wanted to play 3DS roms, in which case you'd have to find an alternate method, or use ninjhax 1.0 on 9.2.0.

Speaking of other things, is there a proper way to exit out of region games that were launched through the implemented version of RegionFOUR in the Homebrew Launcher? I remember I tested it, and pressed Home due to habit and it froze the whole console. I think it'd be cool if pressing home would show a transparent version of the HB Launcher with an option to exit.

EDIT because I don't want to make another reply since this was recent~

Do you think Smea will make saves for the YouTube app so the correct exploit is of your firmware? So you would just have to start YouTube and it would take you directly to the HB Launcher without internet?

Doesn't that defeat the purpose? I wouldn't be able to launch it without some kind of cfw/cn/gw
Um, if you have pasta you have cfw bro...You said you were installing cia to play on system nand.... this is the same only it's not a game...it's the youtube app..

Not necessarily. You can install cia's (Legit only) through FBI cia installer using Ninjhax 1 without any CFW. You can also launch them from SysNAND

Meh I know there is nothing wrong with it just being userland, I was just wondering if that was the reason why people gave up on it though. I'm just glad that more people can potentially use homebrew.

So if I found a legit youtube cia somewhere I can launch straight from sysnand?
You could run a cfw to spoof the eshop and download youtube through it. That way it will be properly singed like a legit cia for your console and you could launch it later without a cfw straight from the menu.

Yea, that was my original question though. Is it worth linking nnid for it? I'm currently playing cias via pasta on sysnand, no emunand.

I would personally go for it. But that's your choice. In your case it will work as a kind of shortcut but probably only for ninjhax 2 so cfw wont work with it. I did it because I dont like missing in any entrypoint I can get for free. This could be your chance to link a NNID or make a new one. :)

I realize im on a 9.2U 2DS, so do i have any emunand or custom firmware options without having gateway, OoT3D, Ninjahax, or ironfall? i thought 9.2 only had the browser vulnerability.

downgrade mset 9.x to 6.x, install rop and fbi injection using rxtools via browser (1 time only)

I have Cubic Ninja and an exploitable firmware for it. (I think 9.2U.) Is there any reason for me to connect to the eShop, have to update, and download the YouTube app? Sounds like Ninjhax 1.0 has more features than this exploit.

but guy said he had pasta...

I was trying to used what I learned ..., but, there is a good chance I'm wrong...sorry if this is the case...

So I don't see any discussion of smea's tweet "i'd like to emphasize that tubehax is no joke. get downloadin yall" where he links a picture/vine where you can see a "change firmware version" button.

What firmware version do you think this changes? Browser version maybe?

Yeah, I noticed that too. I feel like it's probably browser version or maybe the Homebrew Channel's version? I'm not sure, though.
