Hacking Sky3DS or wait for DSTwo+?

So I just noticed that Sky3DS works on all 3DS which is good because I always update my 3DS. But I also need to buy a Powersaves to put a private header on all the games, so I'm looking at $140 AUD just to get up and running. I have a few games that I bought off the eshop (like Pokemon Y, ACNW, SSB, and Ambassador games), so if I use Sky3DS with a private header will all those purchases be safe, or should I buy another 3DS just for the Sky3DS, or just wait for the DSTwo+?

don't hold your breath. dstwo+ was supposed to be out in february. it's already almost the end of july.

DsTwo probably won't ever see the light of the sun, and even if it will be published it probably won't support latest firmwares.
Go with Sky3DS and end your search for a flashcard. For everything else there's ninjhax.

I have some games on cart I can read from. I just need to read one private header and the rest of the information I need I can get from no ban no sky?

Correct, Sky3ds + Powersaves if you don't have access to a 3ds on 9.2 or lower firmware. I'd take a look at Sky Army Knife as well.

Awesome, I'll order the Powersaves right now because I'll have to buy it overseas. The local price for Sky3DS seems to be about the same (75USD=105AUD). Was about to order from Oz3DS.net which is an official reseller of Sky3DS, but they don't even use a secure webpage for putting in your credit card info.

honestly i would just buy a private header from someone reputable, afaik powersaves only works on a handful of games for sky3DS (only card2 games like pokemon), imo its a waste of money for just getting a private header, for like £5 someone would be able to buy a crappy game rip the header for you and send it to you an dispose of the game, i have done it for people before although i just kept the game (PS im not using it, but as a collector i just kept it on the shelf so i know the header will never end up in someone elses hands)

or you could even just buy another 3DS on 9.2 or lower and sell your current one after doing a system transfer to the new one, even if you spend a bit more on the new console than you get back on the old one you will probably still end up better off, lets just say you buy one for $100, sell yours for $80 your still about $60-80 better off (for the sky3DS and powersaves) and get all the benefits of save editing, eshop games etc that arent possible with sky3DS directly

a single header can be adjusted to match any other game, the tool to inject a private header for sky3DS does this automatically as far as im aware

Argh, they say they have already shipped it. Hopefully it works with some of the games I already have, Starfox would be good.

And I completely disagree. Buying a private header from someone else is a stupid idea, doesn't matter from who it is. Especially if it just to save something like $10...

So I've ordered both the Powersaves and the Sky3DS. I'll pick up a few 16gb class 10 cards too. I'm just wondering even with private headers, what's the risk of my Nintendo account being banned? I have a few eShop purchases and the Ambassador thing that I wouldn't want to lose or be prevented from playing online with. Might it be worth buying another 3DS (new 3DS would be nice, but then which 3DS should get the Sky3DS?), or is it worth the risk to just use it on my current XL.
