I have been attempting to create a Japanese emuNAND on one of my sd cards by following the guide posted here: (https://gbatemp.net/threads/3ds-region-change-tutorial-easy-way.386207) and have had little no success so far. The step I think I keep missing has something to do with the CIA files linked here: (https://gbatemp.net/threads/3ds-region-change-tutorial-easy-way.386207), but I'm not sure where they come in during this process. Does anyone who managed to set up know what I need to do with the listed CIAs or can give a good description of what you did to set this up?

when you change the region you must delete the titles of the original region emunand, when you install the jap ones, you will get some duplicates, you need to delete the ones from the original region to use of the swapped one, i did the opposite change, i swapped from jap to USA using this guide, maybe it could work for you at least for the titles not to have in the swapped emunand
was 9.2jp and region changed to 9.2 US, then updated the emunand to 9.5 USA, i used this tutorial, very good

Use fbi.3ds or cia to install the region changed FW CIA files you got from 3dnus, you must install them before injecting the Secure_A file just make sure you delete the duplicate titles afterwards otherwise while in gateway mode you will see doubles of everything.
