So im trying to softmod my wii u.
The problem is, when the twilight hack is activated i cant get past the scammers warning screen.
Press 1 pops up but i cant press it.

What can i do?

Using WII u, super smash brawl pal version, using smash stack pal / korean version.
With the NTSC smash stack it dont even work, even with the stage builder deleting ect.

-- EDIT --
I'm not using an SDHC card

If you saw the scam warning, then your SD card is not the problem. Does your Wii Remote connect to the Wii? If so, are you trying to press the physical 1 button on the remote, or are you trying to point at the screen and press A over the circled 1?

I had a problem with smash stack, turns out I didn't have it in the right file path, some of the guides are wrong, try this.

Delete all custom stages.
Create your own custom stage.
Find this custom stage on your pc etc and replace with smashstack but rename it to your original stage filename (this rename prob isn't needed but you know the game already loads it)
Also make sure your using the PAL smashstack on a PAL ssbb disc/NTSC smashstack on an NTSC disc, I believe a google search will easily find both versions, follow my previous tips because the custom stages on pal are saved in a different location than some guides point you to.

Didnt worked.
I made a custom stage, deleted all the others.
In the private map of my SD card i replaced it with the smash stack pal file renaming it with and boot.elf on the root.
When i put it back in the WII u it froze and gave me a annoying sound

Does the Twilight hack or Smash Stack work on the Wii U's vWii? I thought for some reason some of the old exploits don't work so you have to use the various LEGO hacks and some other obscure games. I did Bathax on my vWii, worked no problem.

After a quick search, I was half right, Twilight Hack doesn't work, but Smash Stack should, this is a list of hacks that work on the vWii:

LEGO Batman
Tales of Symphonia: Dawn of the New World
LEGO Indiana Jones
LEGO Star Wars
Super Smash Bros. Brawl
Yu-Gi-Oh 5D's Wheelie Breakers

I dont understand.

If i use the PAL smash stack withouth saving the game, deleting the custom stage builds, get back to vault and back again the hack works but freeze by the scam warning.
If i use the NTSC smash stack withouth saving nothing happens or the screen freeze with an annoying sound. What could i be doing wrong here?

What wii mote do you have?

I believe only the original wiimote works. Wiimote-plus doesn't seem to register when I do my smash hack.

First party Wiimote? Not some sort of Nyko or other 3rd party wiimote?

Edit: perhaps you have a faulty SD card, try using a different SD card that's 2GB or less capacity and see if the error persists.

Is your wii remote synced with the wii after the hack has gone through, try re-syncing it, take the battery out and put back in then press A, I'm sure you're there just missing something.

It's been a while since I used smash but I vaguely recall a wii remote issue that was as simple as resyncing or something.

Have you got another wii remote you could try, I really don't think smash is frozen I think it's your wii remote not linked.

Just tried to sync it while the screen appears, no result. The scam screen is freezing, i cant power the WII U down while that scam screen is on, why would that screen freeze?

The only reason I can think of is your boot.elf file, could it be corrupted maybe, is your SD card fat32, could you possibly try another SD card.

Go back completely to the beginning.
Reformat your SD card to fat32, if your on windws 7 or 8 you can do this with an external program.
Re download all smashstack/hbc ect from another source.
Make sure you have the correct pal smashstack.
Make sure you have the correct boot.elf and smashstack in the correct file locations and that they are the most recent.
Follow the process to the letter and I can see no reason why it wouldn't work.

If this still doesn't work then sorry dude you must be doing something wrong or it's your SD card, some are known to cause problems or it's not frozen and your wii remote is not synced or your not waiting long enough to press, get a new SDcard/wii remote/lego Indiana etc and try another exploit but first go right back to the beginning take a deep breath and start again following every step exactly, there's no shame In making a mistake.

I may possibly have my original files backed up if you pm me I can send them to you as I know 100% these are working with pal smash but I won't be at my pc untill tomorrow, you are definitely using the correct smashstack region for your disc and wiiU yeah?

the vram is one advantage when it comes to AI but ends up being slower even with that and really AI is the only use case that needs more than 12gb vram right now

    Interesting lol

I think I watched a video where two games at 4K where eating just over 16GB of RAM and it's the one case where the 7900XT and XTX pulled ahead (minus RTX of course)

So my opinion is that they could age a bit better in the future, and maybe AMD will continue improving them via drivers like they tend to do. No guarantee there but they have done it in the past. Just a feeling I have.

cyberpunk at 4k without DLSS/fidelityfx *might* exceed 12gb

but that game barely runs at native 4k
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
I think it was some newer games and probably poorly optimized PS4 or PS5 ports
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
they definitely will age better but i feel dlss might outweigh that since it looks about as good as native resolution and much less demanding

When I played Cyberpunk on my old 2080 Ti it sucked lol

AMD could introduce something comparable to DLSS but nvidia's got a lot more experience with that

least amd 7xxx has tensor cores which the previous generations didn't so there is the potential for AI upscaling
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
They have FSR or whatever it's called and yeah it's still not great
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
so AMD seem to finally be starting to take AI seriously
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
Oh yeah those new 8000 CPUs have AI cores built in that's interesting
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
Maybe they plan on offloading to the CPU?
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
Would be kinda cool to have the CPU and GPU working in random more
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
    Tandem even
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
i think i heard of that, it's a good idea, shouldn't need a dedicated GPU just to run a LLM or video upscaling
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
even the nvidia shield tv has AI video upscaling
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
LLMs can be run on cpu anyway but it's quite slow
