So yea, having troubles getting netflix to work.

Hopefully someone can suggest something I haven't tried yet (short of an ethernet adapter), because this thing is really starting to tick me off (Oh no!). I'm starting to think it's "not supported" anymore even though it is still in the download section.. Anyways, every time I start the app, yes every time, I get greeted with a big white box that says it cannot connect to netflix, try again or go to netflix.com/help.

  • Parental Controls are off, tried deleteing them, remaking them with everything off/on
  • Checked Internet Settings x5
  • Web Browser, YouTube, eShop work fine.
  • Tried OpenDNS, Google, Comcast DNS servers.
  • Tried deleteing and reinstalling the Netflix app (10x)
  • Changed MTU between 1350-1500 randomly, no change.
  • Launched another game or app with Internet privileges first
  • Used Data Management to delete extra data from Netflix and leave just the channel
  • Tried different routers (WRT54g w/DD-WRT, GT704WG w/OpenWRT)
  • Netflix works fine on other hardware through the same routers.
Any suggestions besides trying an ethernet adapter?

Have you tried calling Nintendo to help you sort it out? They might have a secret feature to fix it.

Btw, I noticed that Netflix on the Wii U doesn't seem to save the timeline of an episode/movie that I was watching so I prefer the 360 for it.

I've read enough to know Netflix and Nintendo aren't going to be able to help with anything except getting a headache from going in circles. I actually read before posting. Secondly, I wouldn't be asking if I wanted to use other hardware.... Thanks I guess

I had the same issue with Netflix on a 2DS....tried all sorts of things to make it work and went through troubleshooting steps with Nintendo and with Netflix.

The only thing worked that was not even recommended by Nintendo was to wipe and format the system to factory default. After that the error went away.

This is what I had to do too. Twice apparently. I bought the system from someone who had it for 2 weeks. They had Netflix on it. I formatted the system when I got it, but the user data for Netflix apparently kept coming back. Did a format last night, it works fine now... Sounds like one of the processes (format/deleting,file checking/error correction) is botched somewhere. It'd make sense if it was coming from Netflix being downloaded on the same NNID, but it wasn't. I hadn't even gotten to try and login to my account... Thanks for the tip anyway, it would of been my answer.
