Hacking [Release]NTR CFW 3.2 with experimental Real-Time Save feature.

When trying to install the cubic ninja exploit (given here), Scanning the QR code gives a black screen with a few colored pixels in the top right corner, followed by the system freezing. Nothing happens after this.

Any idea what the problem is? I have the bin file on my micro sd card.

Edit: Maybe it is the proxy on my network? It might be blocking the request being sent. Does anyone have a save file for the game with the exploit installed? I have access to an NDS Adapter Plus as well as SaveDataFiler.

I think save data isn't disallowed by the rules.

Edit: Oh, forgot to mention I'm using JPN Cubic

I'm not sure that's information cell9 would be willing to share anyway for obvious reasons.

There should be enough information out there and on 3Dbrew for you to figure it out if you have the experience.

I think one of the KARL devs gave a bit of a summary of how NTR2 works. I remember them saying you couldn't patch sig checks in NTR because it has no ARM9 access. But I'm not sure about the boot process itself.

But I suspect that if you don't have the talent to figure it out yourself, you probably wouldn't know what to do with the information anyway

No. If it was a network problem, the game would just exit with an "An Error Has occurred" message (or the equivalent in Japanese).

Edit: Speaking of, I'm getting "An Error Has Occurred" when I try to install NTR again. Cell9, is the server down again?

Installed it. Every time i try to boot into NTR mode - it goes back to home screen =/ no blue screen. Am i doing this right?

Farthest i get to is service patched: 63 percent, then booted to main screen.

I assume you haven't copied ntr.bin to sdcard.

No i have. I copied it directly to sd card

Apparently the sd popped out some how, problem solved xD

Now if i could only read the game - it doesn't have an english file apparently :*(

You could toy around with the language emu plugin and see what happens.

So, um, are we sure that the installation server is up? Cubic Ninja keeps exiting with "An Error Has Occurred" when I try to install the exploit, even though I know I have an internet connection.

The last time this happened, the server was down.

i made a title id folder for the game, and put the the english plugin inside the folder, no luck.

Well, it doesn't add languages to the game, but if the cart has other languages you can read it might help.
It was just a wild thought anyway; if it's a JP game it probably wasn't there.

ah ok. Yeah i can only read english. Maybe there is a better way than using photo translators but, slow and steady, i'm reading the story line xD

Whats a really good legit website to order a sky3ds? Also, since im on 9.0.0-20E I don't need to do any updates for the regionfree? Last question, if I update my 3ds will sky3ds still work and can I still do the cubic ninja exploit through it

Don't update, unless you want to play online. If you update over 9.2 you won't be able to use this exploit nor others, possibly ever. Sky3ds works no matter what firmware. As for legits.. i'm not sure. Sky3ds website should have resellers you can trust.

I tried it, it didn't prompt for any sort of update, but it just hung on the "Nintendo 3DS" splash.
