Been a while since we last saw a response. May I ask a few things?

1: Is Eshop working all okay?
2: Would a decrypted NAND help find the necessary keys for emunand? (PS what can you do with a decrypted NAND?)
3: How will you prevent illegal Cia installation?
4: Any known troublesome bugs?
5: What new progress has been achieved recently?

Feel free to answer if you want. :P

There won't be any .cia, as far as I understand we'll be provided with a pre-installed homebrew launcher that'll allow us to launch .3dsx files...
I think they said they are adding Cia homebrew support, but they would need an airtight way to block other Cias. It should be possible since RXTOOLS has that feature in the next update, but there are several ways and several pros and cons of each way. If they are adding Cia homebrew support, I want to know how. :)

Please stahp with name and logo debates, not again please :(
Well, the title for this seems a like summery for the whole entire cfw, so having a controversial misleading title which acts like general summery of what the cfw does makes this sort of thing unavoidable. What were you expecting?

Doesn't do you any good if all games you have are in the region you bought it from and you just wanted to convert the dumps from your carts to .cia's.
If you're looking to convert and consolidate your game collection buy a Gateway, KARL won't allow "legitimate backup" loading in any way, shape or form.

You're not entitled to convert your purchased cartridges to .cia files to install them all on a single 3DS. "Format Shifting" rights don't apply here.

There's no legal method of obtaining the archival backup you're entitled to either, and no legal way of running said backup.

So honestly, if you're going to be breaking the law and/or violating a EULA anyway, you might as well buy a Gateway, it'll do exactly what you want. If you're looking for a Gateway free solution it's going to be a long wait.

"Everything is illegal"

Well you better call Big N! Since every cfw is violating that EULA, no but seriously all of this stuff is in a grey area, it's not black or white as pundits here have been saying.
Oh, there's certainly plenty grey area. We all have to draw our own moral/ethical lines in the sand when we participate any devices hacking "scenes".

It'd be nice if Nintendo included a digital copy along with the physical cartridge in much the same way as occurs with movies. But that's out of our hands.

Right now there's only public two ways for you to convert and consolidate your collection. Gateway is by far the best of them, and that feature is worth the price alone if that's what you're after.

Well anyway, I just wanted to put forward my recommendation for solving your dilemma. This conversation doesn't really belong in this thread.

Can I ask for a "feature request?" Will it be possible for you guys (KARL3DS devs) to make a proper DS whitelist? I mean the current DS whitelist is great and all but I don't wanna install something to my sysnand that I cannot uninstall or remove. Don't wanna install anything permanent. That's pretty much the only reason that's preventing me from installing it on my system.

Just something to look at. Am sure many people would appreciate it.

Whenever you guys have time. No rush :)

Edit: Would love to hear your thoughts:

Thanx a lot for your time :)

What do you mean by a proper DS Whitelist? The most proper you're going to get is downgrading to the DS Whitelist from 1.0. Unless you mean full unblocking, in which case I'm actually curious if you could pull a DSi 1.0 whitelist and use that.
