updated dol and patch

First getting into using this mod of Nintendon't, but just curious about one thing. What does the HDD ping option do...what's the difference between on & off?

Also, does this mod patch games that have problems with the original release that need to have some exceptions added like 'Hunter The Reckoning' no sound problems and other games like 'RE4', 'NFS2', etc?

Nintendont will "ping" your hard drive so it doesn't go to sleep. Some hard drive will just go to sleep while playing games.

He can add Hunter the Reckoning on the exception list (he probably should)

Both RE4's & NFS2's exceptions work on fixing Hunter the Reckoning sound problems btw. :)

Alright, maybe I should have HDD Ping set to 'on' then, since my 1TB WD Passport Portable HDD 'rarely at imes' has moments where sound gets stuck on a loop for a few seconds...or depending on the game, it freezes for a few seconds then resumes, it can get annoying in Multiplayer games. :P

He said he would rather not touch the Kernel

Here's the code if abz wants to be nice and add it for now.

(TITLE_ID) == 0x47484e || // Hunter the Reckoning
done!

update and check it out

if you want to add any other exceptions let me know

Nintendont updates (at least in the main thread) are nearing it's end :cry:

Hopefully we can come up with some badass ideas here.

Here's my "badass" Nintendont mod:
I have the GCN boot animation and sound playing on a separate processor thread while the game boots:
(Sorry the sound is out-of-sync, my cheap video capture device doesn't work very well.)
I attached a video of my Nintendont mod (r306) booting Luigi's mansion.
Here is the link to the boot.dol.
