I tryed with my retail cartridge(rev00)(SN:AQEP510192) and i get the same, save non corrupted but blank.

Yup, I suppose now we'll wait for OP to update the save :)

then this is already a sky3ds save file, there's nothing for me to convert here :(

did OP ever post a fixed GW format save file for EU, just like the one that is still available for US?

He mentioned that he was working on it, so no not yet afaik

Is this how it's supposed to work?

If I'm understanding correctly:
  1. Put Gateway's newest Launcher.dat on your N3DS SD card
  2. Load Zelda OOT through Sky3DS disk writer.
  3. Load/restore hacked Zelda OOT Sky3DS save game through disk writer
  4. Turn N3DS on with Sky3DS inserted, go through Sky3DS process, launch Zelda OOT
  5. Load hacked Zelda OOT game save
  6. Hopefully runs Launcher.dat and gets you to Gateway screen(s)
  7. Go through Gateway processes for Emunand, rom launching, dev menu etc.
Does this also mean we don't need any physical Gateway flash cards at all? Just their Launcher.dat?

Yes
No you still need the physical red card to actually go into Gateway mode

I have tried everything and can't get this to work on US version.

The restore save feature on diskwriter doesn't seem to be doing anything now. I restore save but when I go back into 3ds my old save is still there.

Tried xp compatibility mode, tried having OOT a diffrent game spot, tried cycling through all the games.

formatted card multiple times

Now I can't even get my old save to delete even after formatting.

The problem is if you don't provide the header, it won't work. The savegameencryption is bound to the header. Can't you just inject a public header and reimport the save again? Then the save would be encrypted with a public header and everyone can use it.

Can I ask how you would go about this? I may be able to get mine to work if I know how to align the partitions

SaveDataFiler's primary use is only on CFW and gives you unencrypted dumps.

You can't use SDF in GW mode due to it not reading cartridges. You can't use CIA's in classic mode.
Since when? SaveDataFiler can be used to extract savegames in general. e.g. from eShop/Card2-games/...

Help me out with a save with public header and I'll help you to get your save working. This forum just suck hard. Everyone wants help but noone help ppl who want to provide a solution for everyone

I would if I could but I have no way to obtain one. That's why I was trying to mess around with the template on here and use an existing save backup to make the gateway save compatible :/ probably won't work anyway lol

So will this allow the save to work with newer carts? like rev1.1 or whatever?
All OOT carts "can" work now?

Is there more than one rev for US carts?
I found a website selling them new in box. (canada only.)

We need somone who has access to a Sky3DS AND a powersaves dongle. This person could make saves from public headers if he has a Scenedump of the ROM (EU/JP)

Tried this:

1) CONTRAST OOT
2) Changed to custom template on OP
3) Copied OOT to sky3ds
4) Changed to another template
5) Copied another game to sky3ds
6) Started OOT and made a save
7) Changed to another game
8) Restored AQEE.sav OOT save
9) Change from the other game to OOT and run

Result: Save corrupted

Either the save or the template are incorrect.

Ill be having a play around tomorrow when my SD car reader turns up, but for reference i am using
"The_Legend_Of_Zelda_Ocarina_Of_Time_3D_EUR_3DS-LGC"
