Can someone explain me why this only work up to 9.2 and non work in 9.5. The hack save game is new for the 3ds/2ds/n3ds so how Nintendo have done to patch the exploit between firmware 9.2 and 9.5 if they dont know the new exploit ?

It's a two stage exploit. The first stage remains unpatched, but the second stage requires a kernel exploit, which was patched post 9.2.

Not long ago I was looking for Cubic Ninja, opened the case aaaand it was empty.
Almost had an heart attack until I realized it was on my N3DS

Iv done that before with a 3ds game atleast a few times lol,it's hard to keep track what's in what slot when you have 3 3ds. I hate the mild heart attack feeling when you think you lost something, I always assume the worst right off the bat lol,.. OMG ITS GONE FOREVER..... lol

I'd also like to know this, as I wouldn't even attempt this exploit if the super stable 3d doesnt work as good.

1) Yes, you only need to load the save onto the Ocarina of Time game cart once.
2) You only need to run the exploit if you turn off the n3ds, going in and out of sleep will keep exploit running
3) You cant use the blue cart for DS games above 9.2 i believe and you would need to re-run exploit if you did run the blue cart.
4) No

Blue Card seems to work if you install the flashcardtimewarp.cia on sysnand, like on the old 6.x+ 3DS.

And you wouldn't need to rerun the exploit one more time if you run the blue cart as the exploit is not installed in the N3DS. Playing a NDS game or not won't change the thing you need to run the OOT exploit each time you boot the N3DS (it's not only once, it install nothing, contrary to the old 4.x exploit).

With KARL3DS we're guessing that the method they use to do firmlaunch skips whatever inits/deinits qtr, the service which handles face tracking. So basically they only do enough to firmlaunch for a normal 3DS vs a New 3DS.

Needing a retail game to do this is rubbish, and everyone knows it. Forget piracy, people have retail games that they just want to install as CIA on their N3DS for almost half a year, and if they dont have that specific game, they are out of luck. RUBBISH.

Thanks, so my GW linker have to stay on my old 3ds because i updated my n3ds for eshop and pokebank and it could take longtime before they support 9.5 sysnand

Seems there is a bug with big Micro-SD Cards (16 and 32 GB for example).

Emunand will install fine and multirom menu will work fine but system settings won't show GW before the firmware version (seems it switch you back to sysnand when you enter settings, so it's better to not update if you don't see GW).

Works fine with the original 4 GB Micro-SD card though (show GW, and update fine to 9.5.23).

About the preinstalled game, it seems you just have to backup your Micro-SD card before the emunand installation then copy back the files once emunand is installed (as long as you don't use the "format" option in sysnand, it should work fine and give you the preinstalled game back in sysnand).

I can also report it is not working on my 8gb microsd.

Well gateway said that they postponed the release because they've been trying to establish a better way of loading the exploit but it's clearly not easy.. sky or QQ just mimic a retail card but lacks features. Gateway will continue to search for other exploits.. this version is just a beta. If you don't have the game or don't want to pay than just wait.

Im telling you... I bought an extra Gaytwait card for my wife, believing in the fabled update( yeah, works perfect on the old 3ds), but we have n3ds that we want to use and have CIA. I feel ripped off, because this is NOTHING like the video they showed..... its a clear bait and switch.

If you have been following the scene you should have know that 9.2+ firmwares aren't supported
