i know theres no 4.5 n3ds firmware, im just curious if it is possible do downgrade using the dg files from o3ds without bricking the n3ds...

That would be like trying to install Windows 95 on a Core i7/very modern PC: if it installed correctly at all, it'd have basically no drivers, and things would generally not work (e.g. how would you enable/disable wifi? That was only added with the 2DS/new 3DS firmwares via software, there's no HW switch).

LOL, At least you guys don't have a copy of OOT with a different region than your New 3DS!
I was so happy when I saw OoT (first game I bought for my European 3DS), and then I thought, oh crap I have Japanese New.

From the looks of things, it just straight out doesn't work on Mac, at least from my experience. I would have loved a ftp setup, could have just connected like I do with the Cubic Ninja based FTP server. My guess is that the average user may have less understanding of FTP, even though it's (in my opinion) very easy to get the hang of.. Well, either that or they wanted it to be as lightweight as possible.. >.>

sure i doubt the average 3ds user to have a ftp client installed but nintendo could have made a simple tool to do all that for us
i'll try to read more about it, it will be easier if i can simply use my mac

For one thing, I'll effectively be paying £30+ to boot into Gateway mode (I have no interest in completing the game again when I've completed both the main master quests). I'd rather be patient and find a cheaper game, or wait until a different method comes out.




Ah well that sucks, I'll continue to look for my own then . On a completely irrelevant case, do you provide NAND mode services (I've been aware that you do) I have interest right now, but not quite ready to follow through yet

Thats what I had thought, but the instant it appeared in my network devices panel I realized it was something a little different at least..

Haha yeah the cheapest I can find so far is £25 at CeX for CN, still pretty steep but I may settle for it. Really regret not getting it for £6 from GAME when I saw it a few months back...

This is exactly what happens to me, also using a Sky. Did you transfer the save with savedatafiler?
