It gives me an error half the time after picking Go!, and I've only been able to write one game to my card and have it working.

Because that's what it's for. Writing a single image to an entire diskspace. You don't need that function for Gateway or Sky3DS...you just drag and drop multiple game files on to your microSD.

Now that you've written a single image, you'll have to re-format the microSD. FAT32.

I think he means the sky disk tool thing right?.......sounds like you might have a fake microSD card or something, as I haven't seen anyone else having trouble with it

Idk mines works 100%

You might have a fake sd card althats not the full size it said
Or your sd card is too slow. A class 4 and high is normally needed.

Also make sure if your on windows 7 that you run it as administrator

You can just drag and drop the files on the card?

....wow. That makes things a lot easier if true.

EDIT: Aww man. I tried this with a Polaroid 16 GB MicroSD, by the way.

Can anyone show me what files are inside of their MicroSD once they've written ROMs to their card?

Okay, so basically, I think that I have to format the card twice each time to be able to write roms to the card. And if I want to write roms, I have to write all of them at once. So I just wrote 2 roms in, and they both work. So that'll be a bit irritating...

It shouldn't work like that.

Write a game using the disk writer tool then close the program. Open it again. How much free space does it say you have? It it has the correct amount you should be able to write more games. If it says 0mb there may be a problem with your micro sd card reader. Try a different card reader or a different usb port.

This gave me problems for about two weeks similar to what your are describing. I was using my tablets built in reader and it gave me faults almost every time I pushed the "Go" button. Switched to a usb adapter and haven't had a problem since.

Yeah, I think it's a problem with my laptop's built-in reader. I don't have a USB adapter so I'll have to buy that... oh well.

Do you have the appropriate driver for the built-in reader?? Every laptop I've seen (except mine, and yours probably) never required any drivers.

I dunno, but for reference: http://puu.sh/gslKg/067a4c0c2c.png

Also, I did manage to get things working once, and wrote a whole bunch of games on the card. Started up DiskWriter the next day, device not formatted, no games and 0 mb.

The games are still working though.

This is exactly the same problem that I had. You are going to need a USB adapter.

It's not really an issue with the sd card or windows compatibility mode. It seems to not want to work with tablets (or some notebooks) that have built in micro sd card readers. The problem he is describing is the same issue that I had. Everything you guys have said I have tried over the course of about 3 weeks. The only fix was to use a usb adapter for my micro sd card.
