Hardware Does the regular N3DS leave screen marks like the 3DS did?

I know a vast amount of regular 3DS users had this issue and still do which is caused by the lowers screen. So I was wondering do the two rubbers they introduced on the top screen of the N3DS help at all with the well known issue?

I'm not sure about the N3DS, but I think you should have had a screen protector and decals on your system - makes it look nicer and protects it.

Actually I've got the same marks on my 3DS XL (not New3DSXL) with Hori screen protectors on it. The marks are only in the screen protector and not on the actual screen. Afaik the XL shouldn't normally suffer from these marks but the screen protector does make the screen slightly thicker which could explain my case...

If you close the unit nicely u won't have issues with getting the lines on the screen.
Amadren had a XL just like me but i never had issues with the lines cause i closed it carefully.

Take care of it and you won't get any lines on the screen. (haven't used screen protectors either)

Maybe you're right but when you have 4-6yo brothers, you can't have an eye on it 24H/7d :P

Anyway, I was closing it carefully but I can't exclude that my younger brothers weren't closing it carefully ^^

Just wanted to say if you take care of it then you don't really need to worry about it.

Yes. But think twice! Imagine when you put it in your pocket. It'll make a pressure between the 2 screens and probably scratch them. I don't know if the rubber actually prevent from it but I would recommand you to buy a screen protector.

I don't have one on my N3DS and I take it everydays in my pockets. It's not scratched so... I dunno.

Screen protector would be great but if not then get a microfiber cloth and put them inbtw the screens. And never put the XL in jeans. I've had a bag for it so i didn't have any problems.

I haven't had any issues on my N3DS, but on my old one I was able to just rub them off with my thumb - No screen protector. Wasn't a big deal for me and I never really noticed them until about an hour into gameplay haha.

I always experience the analog nub rubbing a circle on the top screen of my original 3ds. I could rub it off though

Nothing out of the ordinary of the new 3ds xl yet
