Hello,

Got new 3ds on 9.0 didnt accept terms to use internet.

Tried to do a system transfer and saw I have to accept terms to connect to internet.

Does anyone know if system transfer will ask for update?

Thanks

Yes. Both consoles (source, destination) need to be fully updated, and they connect to Nintendo's server.

I did emunand to n3ds sysnand. Hopefully that ends up working (it's transferring right now).

I hopoe you read the guids "Emunand to sysnand system transffer someone wrote here, it's not just doing the transffer, there's more to it.

What more is there? I don't want to set up emunand on my new system. I just want to keep my old system on 4.X and transfer the 9.5 emunand.

both systems needs to reboot at a certain point, on your gateway system with emunand this boots you back to the sysnand
When you then try to boot back in emunand it tries to complete the transffer but boots you back to sysnand (the rest i don't remember anymore, search around), but there are a few other hickups to
At some point it asks to transffer all files on sd to your new system, so you have to swap sd or do it manually, so be carefull what you choose

It's in the SD transferring part right now, has been for an hour or so. Here's what I've done so far: Boot into emunand on source console. Updated both emunand and new 3DS sysnand to 9.5. Initiate system transfer on both. Go through the options. Selected "wireless SD transfer". And it's in the middle of that process right now.

Some notes: My emunand is almost a perfect/clean copy of my 4.2 sysnand updated, with the exception of having accessed the eShop a few times. I'm using the MT launcher/emunand, since I don't have a gateway card. And I don't care to hack my new 3DS. I just didn't want to update my old 3DS sysnand.

This should all work, right? What more is there to do? Do I need to go back into my source 3DS emunand after this SD transfer?

Edit: I didn't do something stupid, did I?

After SD transffer it should boot back to system transfer, and there you gonna have a problem i think.

It transferred SD, and then went to Pictures (done), Sound (done), and now it's doing "built in software". What exactly do I need to do after this? Just boot back into emunand or what?

I don't know, it's somewhere on gbatemp

Alright. I thought the weirdness was if you were transferring TO the destination 3DS emunnand.

Edit: Looks like everything transferred fine. No weirdness. The destination 3DS just booted back up like normal with my stuff. Source booted back to sysnand (which is fine and still has exploit stuff installed). I booted back into emunand, and the emunand was formatted back to basic 3DS setup stuff.
