Even if that worked (it won't) there are multiple layers of encryption. Really probably a bad idea to place any weight on being able to use this, unless MathewE decides to open up about it.

You asked him if he though about selling it ?

He never bragged about it, he posted something on pastebin (public website) to share it with his friends and someone found it, also would you release something on what you worked several weeks maybe months for free ?

It depends on what I have been working on - but YES, and I'll prove it to you:

- My Metroid mOTHER NES hack
- My updates to the emulator neoDS
- My ds-craft koholint map

I have some more stuff though - that I won't share...

Nope, also the file is encrypted and no one knows the key, so we cant even decompile it to get the asm.

A. it's encrypted and stuff
B. it's meant to run on a 3DS
C. there's more types of executable files out there than just exes
D. IIRC the C thing just opens a file so you can modify it in the rest of the program. Generic and 100% useless.

Just went to his pastebin to find this:

keybase_s: 17 AA 0F
keybase_c: 12 12 12 12 13 13 13 13 14 14 14 14 AE AE AE AE

No idea about it but I thought I'd share this!

EDIT: It goes under the name keydat info

Can someone smart finally tell us what this is all about :/

Oh we can. It's someone's personal research data and is basically completely useless unless he chooses to release something (which, apparently, he won't). That's all there is to it. It's real, but at the same time useless.

Yet another person who created a way for themselves to pirate 3ds games and just decided to make a public paste bin to piss off everyone waiting for a free software alternative to gateway

Why don't you learn assembly then and RE the 3ds to make your own cfw ? He posted it on pastebin to share it with his friends, someone from gbatemp found it and now everything thinks that he should release it for free so you can play your pirated games.

I never said that, I'm just saying don't get all pissy when something he never secured properly to begin with became public knowledge.
