I have a 9.2 3ds that I want to dowgrade, but I have a lot of eShop games and DSiWare on my sysnand. If i downgrade will I lose everything? Can I take the nand.bin and inject it into emunand so that I don't lose everything? I just don't want lose anything.

As long as your create your emunand with the backup of the nand linked to those games you shouldn't lose the licenses to play the games. The games themselves are not in the nand though they are simply on the 3DS in the "Nintendo 3DS" folder. When you partition your SD card to add an emunand it will have to format the SD card so you will lose the "Nintendo 3DS" folder. What you want to do is backup the contents of your SD card and then after installing the Emunand partition just copy the files back over. The games that require higher than 4.5 FW will not work on 4.5 but they should work while you are in the 9.4 emunand.

Downgrading will not format your SD card though. If all you are doing is downgrading there is no emunand involved and so your games will still be on the SD card and the licenses for them should still be linked to your nand. You still wont be able to play the ones that requires higher FW though.

There are threads on the process. Do you care about your current game saves? Most of them will be incompatible and you will have to start over if you downgrade.

How do I create my emunand with the backup of the nand linked to my games?

What's the benefit of downgrading? Seems like the only good thing about it is the DS Profile exploit, but I'm not really sure.

Basically...
There is at least one drawback though:
If you have carts that uses the new encryption, like Pokemon X/Y, their saves will not load anymore...

It allows you to use the DS Profile exploit, which is marginally faster and more convenient than using the Browser exploit to launch Gateway mode.

You can also decrypt roms and generate your own .cia files on 4.x.

Not really a necessity to downgrade, but if you do downgrade and change your mind for whatever reason, you can just restore your NAND backup provided you made one before you downgraded, which you should've!

Just backup your SD card, put the 3.0.1 launcher in it, boot the gw menu, format emunand, download emunand tool (by n1ghty), inject your nand backup with it.
profit?

I did this and 3ds eshop games show up in sysnand which work, but my dsiware shows up in emunand but doesn't even launch.

Edit: Eshop games show up in emunand, but dsiware games don't work. Is there a way to make dsiware games show up in sysnand?

Curious - when you format emunand in the gateway menu, what gets carried over from the sysnand? Does it create an entirely blank slate, or do all of your eshop titles and save data remain the same as in sysnand?

That's the first I've heard of the emunand tool, and I'm wondering why you need it.
