Ah ok. Thank you ^^ That is a relief.
So the Savegames are directly saved on the gateway sd and not on the 3ds sd for card1 and card2 games?

CARD1 -> save is on the 3DS SD card
CARD2 -> save is on the game.3ds on the GW red micro SD card

And when you want to play your CARD1 game on your N3DS, just copy to save game to the n3ds internal micro SD card

Did something happen while I was asleep? Can we use this on N3DS? What's going on?

Thanks. I'll try it out as soon(TM) as it's possible ^^

Sorry for the completely noob question (first time gateway user). I have installed the exploit, backed up system nand, copied system nand to my pc, formated my sd card wth format and installed and updated emunand all working ok. I coped my files back onto the sdcard but none of my downloaded from the eshop games are showing up. Is it correct that I just go to the eshop in emunand mode and redownload them?. Thanks in advance for any help.

Your games doesn't show because when you put your empty sd card in the 3ds it created a new folder for them. Open the nintendo 3ds folder in the sd card and you will see some folders with long names. There will be 2 of them instead of 1 and one will have 3 folders extdata, dbs, title and the other one will have only extdata. The one with only extdata is the new folder that 3ds is using and u have to move the 3 folders (extdata, dbs, title) into this folder and overwrite the single extdata folder. Then it will work fine.

well that's also an option, but that's only if the problem is caused by firmware, i'd go on with localizing the issue before i blame the firmware, otherwise he'll keep on having to install cia games (slow as fuck) on sd card which is prolly smaller because he didn't plan to keep games ony to realize it's sd card that's fucked or he needs to stabilize it.
True but it has many more advantages than a rom has. He could use a adapter and use the bigger card for emunand. That's how I do it.

hmm you mean CIA install in emunand right? i could try that too. As soon as the 2hwtest is over i will put a little paper between the sd slot and see how it goes...

Last option CIA install or Returning the gateway and asking the reseller for a new one

Cia files shouldn't give you any headaches since they don't use the GW card ;)

There's a whole list of precuations that must take care of. Personally, I find it a big hassle compared to drag an drop for .3DS

No N3DS support yet. It will be out soon.
For now, they released a browser exploit, supposedly to shush us while they work on a proper Mii maker exploit.

Someone commented that they downgraded their N3DS to 4.5

i don't even know where to start though.

ok i'm on 4.5 with my n3ds can i install emunand anyone ? :P

man i feel isolated here :(

NVM think he was trolling.

On maxconsole -> "Also, bookmarking the website helps to relaunch the exploit after every power down."
Damn, you always need the pc and internet for every booting... fuck, im still on my gw 2.6 4.5 and good bye .__.

How do I get cia files? I followed the convertion tutorial, but I'm not sure how to get the xorpads with a newer system. Will a downloaded cia file work on my 3DS, or do I have to make them myself?

Wow, I literally sold my old 3DS firmware 4.5 just 15 minutes ago, when I decided to check if Gateway has already supported the higher firmware versions.
Sold it just in time for the same price I bought it for roughly 2.5 years ago .

So I updated the red card. Backed up my NAND. Updated emuNAND to 9.4. I hit select, pick a game and then start it and it comes up with "An error has occurred." What am I doing wrong? xD I did the same thing to run Playcoin Setter and it worked fine.

Dont enter data managment or it will delete all the data. What else? :D
You need to search the internet for bigbluemenu/devmenu, then you must ask the difference between the two, after that you need to drag and drop the .3ds to the red card, boot it up (optional: install .CIA for devmenu), then you need an sd card twice the capacity of the rom you want to install (You have 1GB game? Shame, you need 2GB), you must not enter data management, if you want to you must format emunand, .3DS is easier to find rather than .CIA, then if you want some sort of game that isn't .CIA you need to use wonky tools to convert it, and if you want it region free you must get rid of the region code, can't login with your NNID or bye bye to all those installed .CIA etc etc
