i know gateway wants to deliver the full packege with every and all functionality, but at this point it would have been better (and less server strain) if they just fased out the release.
first get rom support for 9.0, then release the 8.x - 5.x in the following days and emunand (if they got it working) etc in a 3.1 update. instead of having us wait for what feels like ages since we know its coming soon(TM)

If only GW gave us updates on their doings..... like smeu did with his.
The ninjahax exploit was well prepared and smeu gave progress indicators, which kinda helped everyone understand what stage the exploit is at ^^

heres a more a better render of the countdown

The difference here is that Smealum was doing his work for free and without threat of competition. Gateway do not want to give their competition any indication of what stage they are at for obvious reasons and they certainly cannot give out technical updates about the status of the exploit.

Normally I don't get this anxious about waiting for things but honestly if they would have just said originally "coming summer 2015" I would have been alright with that.

There is competition, there always is, it is just how you show off to others. If they gave us an indication of where they are at, like 'Bug fixing' or 'Getting it to work on lower firmwares'. This would help everyone to take a chill pill and just stop being all aggressive at Gateway, since most people here know that they are proven to be a quality firm.
