How does it make sense to play Luigi's Mansion 2 before Luigi's Mansion (1)?

I don't have hopes of something like this ever getting localized, the 3DS in the western world still has too much of a "children's toy" stigma (at least in the countries I know of). But i'll give the Japanese version a chance, it looked user friendly enough. I already have 7 other Japanese titles I wanna try anyways.

The previous Puchikons were localized, they were DSi titles known in the west as Petit Computer. I've read somewhere it is planned to be localized, so we'll see. But it is user friendly enough for me to be able to use it.

The 3DS version honestly didnt feel like a sequel. You wouldnt really miss anything by playing the gamecube version after the 3ds version. Though the gamecube version IMO is a lot better than the 3ds version.

I wasn't actually being serious.

Just poking fun at the logic of recommending someone play a game's '2' version, followed by the original.
