I have ac:nl and kinda got bored...
Can't wait to play fantasy life and rune factory~!!

I played ACWW for two years and AC:NL for half a year. Tomodachi went stereotype after two months :/ But that's just my experience, maybe it'll amuse you for a longer time. It just turned to the routine "feed them - clothe them - look at their wacky dreams - sell stuff - repeat" after some time and I kinda lost motivation to play more. I might return to it sometime, but I'm playing Phoenix Wright series at the moment.

Fantasy Life is great. More than great, it extremely suprised me as a handheld title. It's enormously big, yet doesn't feel overwhelmingly vast. Just exploring the world takes tens of hours. I played for like 80 hours? I finished storyline (base game + origin island) and I feel like I finished about 50% of the game. The lifes I have to master, the recipes I want to craft, the dungeons I want to finish...There's so much it this game. And the multiplayer is great.

I agree with you but if you were in their position wouldnt you do the same thing? People bought their product and they made money = them being happy. They are gonna release the update when its actually ready for release = you are happy.
Again, nobody promised anything and nothing was set in stone. The most important thing here is that they always deliver - sometimes sooner, sometimes later but they always do.

I think you are kind of emotionally invested in them Why woud you feel the need to empathize with them? It's business. Simple logic, they gave false leads and made the customers unhappy. They didn't actually promise anything but they did say it's a matter of days, in a few days. I think we can all agree that's time window of maximum 2-5 days and that time has passed. That's the key part here. They are being all vague and ambiguous to keep us on the hook. It's their strategy but it's also 'not so cool' again almost the equivalent of lying.

OK, that does it. I'm pretty lucky to know a friendly reseller near me.
If they don't release it by the end of the week, I'm returning the Gateway and I'm getting a Sky3DS. At least I'll be able to just play the damn games I've been waiting for.

Agree. If they believe they can release it, they can just say "The release is by the end of the week", not "The release should be by the end of the week". It has happened before. Whenever they use "should be", basically it means they won't make it :x

If it works it works Im on their side because if I were on their place I would probably do the exact same thing. The only thing that matters is that the update is real and its coming, til then Ill manage to do some other things - the games wont run away

Sunday is the beginning of the week, technically. It could also be that they meant the end of the business week which would suggest either today or saturday.
