mmmm, with version numbers I think it makes more sense for 2.9 to represent 2.09.
That way, you can make a minor update (but not a tiny one) after 2.9 and have somewhere to go that isn't 3.0.
going 2.7, 2.8, 2.9, 2.10 seems better than going 2.7, 2.8, 2.9, 2.91 or 2.95.
