Hello gbatemp,
Normally I crawl around this section but what prompted me to make an account is this pesky error and bad time I'm having with the Sky3ds.
Yes I know, I'm yet another happy Sky3ds user .-.

Okay so I purchased my Sky3ds from RealHotStuff and I got a 32gb microsd card from Amazon to go with it.

First thing I wanted to do was get Cubic Ninja for Ninjhax and Homebrew. So I downloaded the rom and used DiskWriterv105 and the newest template as of this post. It worked perfectly and I activated the exploit.

Then I began collecting more roms of games to add. When I added a couple more roms, the problems started to appear...

The blue button appears to not function at all with multiple roms.
No rom except Cubic Ninja works.
I tried flashing only Super Mario 3D Land and it comes up on the 3ds but when I launch it I get "This Game Card could not be read."
This happens with all roms except Cubic Ninja. I also tried different templates and different DiskWriter versions with no success. (I did my fair share of searching the problem before posting)

Also the blue led seems to love flashing all the time... Don't know why.

Can anyone help me get multiple roms working and roms other than Cubic Ninja working?

I have a USA 3ds and all the roms I have are USA.

------------EDIT---------------
Solution: Got a new micro SD card. The one I had was bought from Amazon and it was bad.

A continuous strobe seems to mean it's stuck on a game, and can't go to the next. After each modification to a MicroSD card, I kind of have to reset mine to some degree. I hold the button down for five seconds, then eject the cart, and reinsert it.

I've also heard of people taking the MicroSD out before putting it in the system, and after three flashes, take the cart out and reinsert the MicroSD, but I've never tried it yet.

Thanks. I read this in another thread. That may help after I tackle the situation of getting a rom to work that isn't Cubic Ninja..

Yep. Right now I wrote SM3DLand to it and it comes up but it won't launch.
"This Game Card could not be read"

Cubic Ninja works fine though every time I write it.

Does it stop on it? If you wait a few seconds, does it cycle past it, or does it stay on screen?

Right now I only have that 1 rom on the card so it just stays on it. Pressing the blue button does nothing.. I assume it should eject the game and look for the next one even if there isn't one?

I honestly don't know. I've never heard of anyone using a MicroSD for a single game. I'm just wondering if the blinking is looking for the next game, but it's hard to tell if that's what it's doing if there isn't one.

At one point I had both Cubic Ninja and Mario Kart 7 on it and the blue button would not switch games. That's why I decided to only load 1 game.
Weird thing is.. Whenever I write more than 1 game in DiskWriter the games disappear except for the first one when I open the micro sd card in Disk Writer again.

Has the MicroSD been formatted with something like SD Formatter or the Panasonic one, and then formatted with the writer you are using?

I formatted the micro SD card using the Disk Writer immediately after unpacking the micro SD card..

I thought about this and reformatted it using the standard Windows formatting and redid everything with no luck.

Is using specifically the Panasonic one better? Or needed? I saw this in another thread but I wasn't sure if I should try it. Do you have a link to it?

It seems to be better than the GUI version of Windows because that isn't as clean, although if you know how to use DiskPart and have the patience for it, that might be as clean (but not as fast). Using a third party formatter seems best overall.

I have no idea where to get the Panasonic formatter. I've looked, and can't find it. I just end up in the abandoned section of their website with nowhere to go. I just use SD Formatter 4.0 since it works fine and is easy to Google.

Any specific format instructions? NTFS/FAT32/FAT? allocation size? Or does it not matter?

I'll be getting SD Formatter 4.0

I don't think SD Formatter is that advanced. You can do things like Quick or Full (erase) formatting, but I think it restores the default format and allocation size to whatever it formats.

Okay. I'll format it, open DiskWriter v1.05, format it in there, and then add a couple ROMs. Let's see how this goes..

As you can see I wrote 5 ROMs

I put the Sky3ds into my 3DS, and LoZ OOT came up (as expected)
I tried to launch it: "This Game Card could not be read."
I tried to press the blue button to switch games: Nothing.
I decided to put the micro SD card back into the PC and I find this:

Notice how it says 0 Mb free? That's a 512 Mb game on a 32gb card. Something's not right..
Also, what happened to the other titles?

Yea, that certainly looks like corruption. I remember reading about this in the sticky, but I'll have to look it up.

In the meantime, I'm curious: Did you rename the newest template file to template.txt, or did you have your own custom file?

Dude check with another micro SD that could be fake or damaged
I may only have a 1 or 2gb card to check with but I'll try. What bugs me is that Cubic Ninja works fine and runs perfectly..
