who said gateway ever made a nnid?
the eula you agree to on updating etc can be skipped when you first use the console, so technically no EULA agree'd to until you update or set up online services

basically breaking a EULA is not illegal, but it does mean nintendo can ban your console etc for breaking their terms of use, its distribution that companies go after.....and as was discussed yesterday, if gateway where going to be "got" for anything, it would be the fact that their launcher.dat contains some copy written code
 
`Jesus guys, I check this thread every once in a while, and each time there are 20+ new pages all filled with stuff like THEY SAID IT IS COMING. IS IT OUT YET? NO I SEND A EMAIL AND THEY SAID SOON. SO IS IT OUT NOW? Just wait a bit, it's like most posters are on this thread 24/7 with nothing better to do. Just go do something else, idunno.

Anyway, I'll wait a bit to buy a 3DS flashcard, since there is so much happening in the 3DS homebrew/piracy scene, don't want to make a wrong purchase.

After that, Pokemon OR is waiting, and Super Mario 3D Land, too :D
 
just a short question: can i combine .3ds/.3dz games with .cia updates/dlcs ?

i would think so, or?
 
I wouldn't be surprised if the entire team is only a few people who are doing software development as well as answering emails and managing the site.

Just kidding, this may sound weird but I have the urge to play some old school titles like The Legend of Zelda Links Awakening or Oracle of Seasons/Ages on an actual handheld console not an emulator. Ill be probably also playing ALBW and the new Pokemon game.

In few days = "keep waiting".

Caring for the customer also means to give him something to fulfill his needs,
something he can use.

More than 500 pages already filled with talking about the GW update.
This is a BIG appreciation of their effort and their product.
We love their product. We want to use it.

Considering how successful they are, I'm pretty sure they can afford another guy to answer e-mails for them.

Its worth zero. You can't put a contract inside a product after the user already bought it. The only things they can do is offer you an online service (like the nnid) that is optional and bind it to an agreement. Then if you don't behave block you from it. And that's it. They cannot limit how you use your console, not after you already buy it.
This argument was pretty popular during the PS2 era when people start reading the eula that come with boxed games that basically state that you don't even own that copy, they lend it to you, and you aren't even allowed to borrow it to friends (LOL). So I'm pretty sure if you do some research on the net you will find pretty long explanation of why EULA is almost paper toilet and how trying to enforce it always ruled in favor of consumers.

Well as soon as the update hits theres a more than likely chance that well be getting emunad so all games no matter what firmware version should work online. Ive been eyeballing fantasy life for a looong time now.
