So, is it just me who played MM Legends 2 on the PSone and still thinks Capcom owes a sequel to the story, and of course, to the fans?

To me graphics never mattered that much. It doesn't matter how good a new CoD looks, the gameplay is always the same. You walk, run, shoot... it's fun, of course, but these are the same mechanics being recycled and framed by updated graphics. Growing up in the 90's was quite the experience. Back in the day we would rent SNES cartdriges and our only way of knowing whether the game was good or bad was the cover art.

Of course, I'm not one of those old school guys bashing on the new generations as there's plenty of stuff that I like nowadays and I think most gamers in general are way too harsh on the gaming industry. It's not about graphics, it's not about the gimmicks, it's about having fun. New or old, a game's ultimate purpose is to be fun, and Megaman Legends was really good at it.

So here's my point: I'm a huge Megaman fan if you can't tell by now. I remember when I was in 1st grade and one of the teachers asked me who my favorite hero was and I answered it was the blue bomber. Of course, everyone was puzzled about who this Megaman was and they did their research to find out. I would even watch that old cartoon: "Super fighting robot, Megaman!". Yeah, the lyrics were deep and elaborate *sarcasm*.

Legends 2 brought so many new mechanics: locking on and firing missiles, skate rolling across the map, the water stages were so epic... I know there's a huge community of Legends fans out there who have been patiently waiting for Legends 3 until Capcom officially cancelled it.

On a side note: a well-known game that has always been compared to Megaman is getting a fan-made remake that's as good (if not better) as an official release. I'm talking about Metroid and AM2R. So, here's my question to you guys: how far would you go for Legends 3? Have you ever thought about developing the game yourself? I for one would give up on playing any other title on the 3DS if that was the requirement to play Legends 3.

To what length would you go to play it?

We do deserve a MML3 but capcom has been fing megaman since legends 2. Also I can honestly say one of the reasons was to play MML3 After I read an article about it in nintendo power

Do you remember what they did to him in one of those Marvel vs Capcom games? I still have nightmares about it...

Capcom needs to sell their Mega Man licence to Nintendo or a company that cares about the franchise/character, though Nintendo seems the most fitting of all since they're the ones whom deal with platforming games.

Mega Man has always felt like a Nintendo character but that's just because I grew up playing Mega Man on the NES and Famicom/Pirate cart consoles.

Maybe if we all hold hands and pray as hard as we can, Crapcom will see the light and release Mega Man Legends 3 3DS exclusive ! ! ! ! OH MY GOD, we overprayed, here comes Mega Man Universe ! What the fuck, Shenmue 3 just announced ? ? ? ? How will I make room on my plate for such an onslaught of Christmas miracles ? ?

Wayfoward would also do a lot of good with mega man (doubt they could afford him tho)

Maybe if Nintendo funds Mega Man then Capcom will get it done. :P

Crapcom can't get shit done nowadays without the help of other companies.

I know but capcom is one of the few orginal great game companies that are still around and selling megaman would be heartbreaking although capcom hasn't done anything with him recently

Activision needs to sell off Crash Bandicoot and Spyro because they're sure as hell not going to give them away for free.

Greedy bastards turned Spyro into something unrecognisable.

I really hope capcom goes bankrupt and inafune or nintendo buys megaman

now I kinda understand why shenmue fans are so frustrated

Why would Capcom make games that don't sell now, when they're in financial dire straits? Everybody keeps raving about how great Megaman Legends were, but there's a reason there's only two of them.

I thought MML was part of PSX greatest hits?

MML yes, I suppose. MML2? Not so much. There's also a big difference between "great hit" and "profitable game".

EDIT: Just to put things in perspective, MML2 sold around 420k units. Meanwhile, Resident Evil on the PS1 alone is 5 million. One of those is a relatively sound investment, the other is a huge gamble for a small handful of fans that still remember the game.

well to be fair, MML doesn't need to be in ps4, they can just release it in 3DS or vita or even smartphones if they want to keep the cost low while making it profitable. many AAA games are now developed with million dollars budget, I can understand if they don't want to take a risk by releasing something that fall to niche market. but duh, they could always develop it for pc. I cannot never understand the hatred of japanese video game industry to PC gaming
