Hey guys,

Just got a sky3ds in the mail today, loaded up a couple of roms and noticed that I cannot switch roms with the button on the cart. When I press the button, the game disappears and then comes right back instead of the next game on the cart.

If I remove the first game from the memory card and load it up, the second game shows up and I cannot switch. It doesn't seem to be a limitation on the games, but rather switching. I cannot find ANYTHING online regarding this happening - is there something I'm doing wrong?

Any input appreciated.

Nope, does it with another SD card. Managed to get it to switch once after it froze clicking the button by popping the cart in and out.

Could it have anything to do with the fact that I'm using the most up to date library.txt file from Sky3DS?

You take the Blue Pill or the Red Pill? (Red button or blue)

Bought thinking I was getting blue, got red. Not pleased with ModChipCentral on this one to say the least.

Possibly. I'm using the newest version of the writing tool, and when I delete a rom at the top, the system defaults to loading the next rom in the list, so they seem to be on there just fine.

When you hold the button for 5 seconds, does the blue light start flashing continuously?

Is a hardware issue if I not wrong. I got 3 this type of "issue" cards as a reseller. So sell off at a loss. Only can store 1 game per micro sd. ( red button )

Could be a loose solder joint too. See if you can get it to fast blink. Chin you might have tossed easily repairable carts.

I hold the button, it flashes 5 times, yes.

I did it about 5 times, one time I switched while it was flashing and it swapped games. Any ideas?

I doubt I can RMA it. I did, somehow, manage to take it apart and solder the button back on cleanly (I have no idea how, I've always been awful with soldering).

I'm guessing you tried just a quick 1-2 second press and it didn't swap ROMs? That's the normal behavior. So is pressing it for 5 seconds and it flashing.

Dude, RMA it. It was $90. If they won't take it back call your credit card company and ask them if they have purchase protection (most cards have it and people have no idea). If not, and you've tried an RMA, then tell them and they will usually reverse the transaction. They will reach out the the merchant though.

So now all it does is constantly flash without having to hold the button. Something's definitely up with this button. Contacted the seller, let's see what they have to say.

Remember, you didn't just receive a defective product. You actually received something other than what you ordered (red button version instead of blue.) Wouldn't that alone mean you're entitled to file a dispute if they don't replace it?
