Does anyone else other than play asia sell the australian 3ds? It's up to a 1-2 week ship time

Well that seems to be more or less the time for the update to be released or even more than that , therefore I see no problem with that time, otherwise you'll just end with the console staring you in the face, until you take it out of the box just to check if its still on 9.0 firmware, trust me true story.

From a business standpoint, the last thing Gateway wants to do is brick more consoles by releasing their new hack prematurely. They have nothing to gain by withholding it if it's ready for mass distribution.

Gateway has proven time and time again that they deliver. If you guys chose to ignore that and think they are bullshitting the community, you'll be the ones with egg on your face.

Honestly that's probably the best 3DS game I've played. Zelda:ALBW in close second, although totally different genres.

excatly, most people rather wait then have a bricked 3ds.. lol but the newcomers are impatient for the most part and just want it now... lol they should buy a 4.5 3ds then

Buy it if possible. The third game is on hold because the company didn't make enough revenue with the copies in Japan, unfortunately. However, there is a project to try and get the creators to convince management in completing the trilogy.

I've been working in the professional field for over 10 years now. While coding may not be my strongest strength, I have most likely achieved more than you have in that field.

Once again, appeal to accomplishment. Someones credentials or accomplishments have nothing to do with the validity of their argument. You're flaunting your suspicious credentials, and yet they don't make your flawed arguments any more valid. Even if I said "I have over 30 years experience in the 'professional field' (wut)", it doesn't make my argument any more or less valid.

My coding experience is completely irrelevant. Installers (or "actual installers", whatever that means) are not even remotely close to the most difficult component of a project. The fact that you're pushing this shows that you likely have no coding experience at all.

I work for a digital signage company and I have a background in media arts and animation. I've worked on TV shows, commercials, DVD menus, websites, touch screen interfaces, digital signage interfaces, apps and more. I've worked with HBO, Sesame Street, Scholastic, and more. I have experience with Dreamweaver, Flash, Muse, Photoshop, Encore DVD, Final Cut Pro and my favorite program of them all - After Effects. I'm pretty sure he doesn't even come close to that.

Sorry that wasn't my intention. I was just trying to list some of my background. Most people on this forum seem to be young kids. I'm just trying to say that I have some experience behind me. That I've also worked with some real clients on professional things. Thats all. I don't want to derail the thread any more than it has been. Lets get back to Gateway hype...

Briefly jumping on the hype train to say that I made a quick IFTTT recipe to receive a notification when the Gateway site is updated. Hopefully not too many people have gone insane or broke their F5 key yet. It needs to be out before I play Face Raiders/ AR Cards for the 100th time.
