Ok so now I can put 1000+ roms on my microSD card!
But wait... I want to play with the 758th game :p

I have to wait for the sky3ds with green buton with faster game changing :p

1000 roms... at around 500 mb-2 gb a piece where the hell did you score a 1+TB micro SD card????? and also, do you have a spare?
seriously people - put 5-6 games on a 16 gb card and have a couple of cards... yeah, game scrolling is a pain in Sky 3DS but it doesn't mean you have to have it all in one card.

The only way laughing hysterically would be justified, is by showing some evidence of their update seeing the light anyday soon. If not, I don't see why they would have a reason to laugh.
Heres SKY3DS trying to launch a long term flashcard brand:

Moral lessons aside, the rabbit beats the turtle anyday, lol.

Shhhhh! Don't give away the ending!

True, but it's the steady part I'm concerned about. Some kind of release date or status update would be welcome. The video wasn't too helpful in that respect, if you ask me.

I see where you're coming from and yes, communication is a very important part of developing a product or even selling it for that matter.

It's funny how some of you are still looking into buying this scummy product.

-Sky3DS is released with an imposed limit of 10 games per life cycle for about 90USD: Hurr must buy

-Sky3DS releases a new batch of cards, making your 90USD card not even useful as a paperweight: Hurr they care about us, Gateway sucks.

No doubt flashcard developers know that milking the casual pirates is an effective strategy.

Wow, talk about exageration :P

No one's saying Gateway sucks, just that the time they're taking is long compared to an already working cart.

I mean, no matter how you look at it, SKY3DS works now, Gateway doesn't. Thats a fact.

Not saying I support the former, just pointing it out. :)

i would love to see if you want to go the the game number 50 on the card and you are in number 1
i think you have to press the button 49 time to get to your game , and if you bypass it , you have to press again
how durable that button ?

Implicitly is the word here.

Yes, that's a fact, however the point is that is stupid that people prefer something with less functionality for a more expensive price over a product that not only offers more features, it has a reputation backing them up (knowing for not changing their hardware, not even once) and for a fairly cheap price.

You seriously just read the title only. The old cards are "updatable."
  • For those old card owners, you can find the instruction here to crack the "10 games limit".
Half of the freaking people on here are not even reading the release and judging by title of the thread.

That's a funny thought :P

How does Sky3ds works anyway? Is the game etched onto the Sky3ds card or youll have to keep it in the MicroSD?

I'm not on Sky3DS's side either, but you gotta look the positives. The first line of Sky3DS cards aren't paper weights by any means thanks to the new software that allows you to play more than 10 games. At least here in China, Sky3DS and Gateway differ very little in price now.

You for sure are part of that "half". How is "you can find a hacky workaround here" saying "the old hardware is updatable"? Fucking nonsense...

its simple, if you want nothing more then play a handfull of games at the same time and not worry (yet) about online / eshop etc get Sky3DS
if you want everything else wait for Gateway

compare it to IOS vs Android, Sky is IOS, its expensive has its limitations but it does what it has to do, and does it well
Gateway is android, has a lot more features but support is slow and glitches/bugs may occur
