bout to go by the New 3ds, what is its default firmware since Nintendo released an update, does its default firmware work on with gateway?

9.0, will work with gateway when released, dont update it at all, keep wifi off... current firmware is 9.3 and we have no confirmation if that works or not.

the previous batch from playasia is 9.0-9.2, don't know about the next shipment though.

My N3DS XL came with 9.0.0-20E. All "New" 3DS out of the box should be good to go when Gateway release their update.

My N3ds also came with 9.0.0-20E. I think the first batch are all the same. Who knows what the next batch will have could either be 9.2 or the latest 9.3

That's new, most people buying consoles from Australia said that their console came with 9.0, looks like the firmware on some of these units are higher than previous. Won't be long till they come with 9.3 at this rate.

Is your serial on the base of the console in the QAH 10007XXX X range?

I got my New 3DS XL from JB Hi-Fi and it came with 9.0.0.20E.
