Prolly a reach, but I'm hoping someone knows enough of how this works. When Gateway launches their next update, could we then launch BigBlueMenu with it and install CIA files?

For Gateway to say there's no saying if their exploit works above 9.2 can only mean one thing. They speculate that Nintendo can track it down very easily. It must be a loophole Gateway's probably thinking: "Wow, how did they let this go by lol."

The video explicitly shows you .CIA works just fine.

August 16th, gateway announce they are the first team to hack 7x 8x encryption. August 25th they release. Oct 7th, 9x comes out they announce they will support it. Oct 16th they release. November 16th they say they will support recent firmwares 9.0-9.2, Nov 30 they release a video with the newest hardware.

Do we need an invitation? I think not. Fools if you didn't get one. We're probably looking at around the 16th for an update or release.

I don't get it; why do yu all buy n3DS from Japan and Australia? Do you really think GW will drop their update before the new consoles are available in Europe/North Amercia? There's absolutely no need for them to rush things now and absolutely no need for you to spent so much money on foreign n3DS.

"But why did they post that video if they don't want to release their update any time soon?", you may ask. A: In order to prevent people from buying that Sky3DS-card. And most likely not to announce their early christmas gift. Remember; team GW is not some kind of charity to help broke gamers, they just want to make money.

This is pretty ignorant. How many OG 3DS 9.0s are on the market right now? How many N3DS's? Ok who is gateway trying to market to, the huge crowd that already has 3DSs. It just happens that the exploit they found was also exploitable on the new hardware. They can get gateway owners to upgrade and buy more cards and new users who want the new hardware and gateway. Then there is the main group of people they are going for. Current 3DS owners. At my families house they have 5 3DS xls sitting together, all on 9.0 waiting. Believe what you want but the logic is flawed. Exploiters are always time poor. Who cares if you exploit a firmware version that you can't upgrade to?

September/ October 2013, they announce Multirom and Pokemon Support; April 2014, they release it

How was the timeline when they announced multirom support? Thst was months between announcing and release... Not to burst your bubble here but just dont get up false hopes.

I think they will wait for at least 9.3, so sky3ds is blocked and they sre the onlymworking flashcard on 9.3 ( i even think they will wait for the us&eu release of the n3ds, but ou orobably wont like that:P)

I think gateway would say....

Some people might think we’re overcautious with releasing new firmware updates and holding stuff back.
But we would like to reiterate once again that quality assurance and smooth product experience is on the top of our lists. We really take our time to test everything as much as we can.

Why would that bother me? Pricewise it wasn't more expensive to get it now and wait. I have a 4.5 already. I was interested in getting a new DS. We'll just have to see what happens.

Hey guys,

I am so excited about this hack being released that I have literally read ALL 100 pages of this thread, and I have finally mustered up the courage to import a N3DS (PAL AU version) from play-asia. I know I'll be broke after this, so will just get the N3DS on desirable firmware and wait it out. No rush. Will get the Gateway 3 to 4 months later when I have the money :P

Given my current financial situation and the horendous customs charges (30%) in my country (India), am STILL swaying back and forth. After paying for N3DS, shipping, and 30% customs charges, it comes down to $380 US.

Do you guys think it's worth it to get a 3DS? I used to own a DS Lite and had a blast playing all those Mario and Zelda games and loads of other games, and when I think of that awesome time I had with my DSL, I just don't wanna miss out on this BIG opportunity of getting an "exploitable" N3DS.

What do you guys think? Should I get it? From what I can think of after reading all these pages, the narrow window of getting one is closing real fast as the black 3DS AU is out of stock on Play Asia.

PS: By the way, anyone got a Play-Asia coupon they can spare. Help out a broke gamer :P

Ok, lets assume, they don't want to wait until the Europe/NortAmerica release of the n3DS. How do you know that their testing will be done till Christmas?

I don't know. Thats a huge chunk and you will need a gateway/microsd cards. Its going to be a big expense.

Anyone know whether classic mode will work with the new version? I know I'm getting GW for piracy but I still want to support some of the companies (like ATLUS, SquareEnix etc) that I care for.

Of course, I do not have any other information than you and just am speculating, but from my point of view, they will wait until the n3DS are available or at least manufactured. Most people here are already safe on the hook (?) and there is no real competition.

But we'll see. Don't think they'll read these posts and change their plans because they liked one of our posts.
