I'm guessing play-asia stating delivery is 1-2w means its out of stock.
The Metallic Blue version is in stock.

So right now, there are absolutely no exclusives for the new 3ds?
Xenoblade Chronicles for N3DS is an exclusive. There is also going to be extra features for Majoras Mask 3DS. Currently there are no games that are N3DS exclusive, but they are coming.

Yeah I seen that, dont fancy paying £180 though, I mean I dont desperately need one, I would kick myself If I got one and never used it or the upgrades didn't feel worth it, I'll probably get £80-£100 for my spare XL, but that's still £80-£100 for an upgrade, questioning whether It's worth it or not more than anything, thanks for the link though :)

well if you sell your xl as a 4.x console soon you may still get the 4.x premium and get like £120, oh and if you where looking at the AUS N3DS on play asia, you would probably end up paying quite a bit more if you get hit with import fee's on it (even after adding postage on top of it you and up saving like £5 over the UK seller.....not worth it for the pissing about imho

Plus no handling fee from royal mail, and if it breaks you can return it to the UK. i can see sending something back to play-asia a royal pain in the arse,

yep....very much regretting going near play-asia....i probably would of had it a few days ago if i had not tried to save a few pennies.....false economy i say XD....unless you order a Japanese console.....but even then with the risk of import fee's you probably save very little

(this is UK related only apparently the US get like $2 duty on the 3ds....uk is like £30 :blink: )

30 pounds? Wow. That sucks man! I just got mine today and I feel for ya. That's unfair for Europeans

Sounds like 365 is the way to go, and if things work out with the N3DS and gateway the way it did on 4.x consoles I'll get rid of them both, possibly make a profit and have a N3DS too boot. All depends on GW's next update I suppose.

Well from looking at their shipping options..
And where they ship FROM. It wasn't that bad..

Lol. I have had a delivery from China in 3 days, so no it is bad, as Japan is more or less in the same vicinity. My point is the 5 days to ship once payment is taken, not the actually time it takes to destination.

Yeah .. Play-Asia wanted to charge me +35€ for shipping. It's roughly the same as 30 pounds. Yeesh.

Ouch! Sorry man :/ Yeah I just got my Japanese one in today and updated safely to 9.2J. Thanks for answering my previous question, by the way! I've been sick, so I didn't have the strength to answer right away.

It's all right. :) I'll be happy with my regular XL until N3DS comes down on us EU's. And don't you mention it. We're here (at least I am) to help (despite the usual whining at Gateway).

I feel like an update is going to hit Monday? 9.0 Oct 6th was a Monday. I feel like they will attempt to at least neuter homebrew and possibly damage gateway in the process?

In a way, if they do, it'll tell Gateway to HURRY THE F*CK UP.

But that'd damage other users on this forum and, despite my b*tching, I want everyone who can to get in on the fun ASAP and join me when Gateway DROPS THE BAS-PATCH.

AUS:

-> Comes with 9.x guaranteed.
-> English menus.
-> Much more expensive.

There's a $25-$30 difference between the Japanese and the Australian models. If you have the money to buy an n3DS an extra $30 to have English menus isn't much. That plus the fact that you might want to actually buy games occasionally makes the Aussie model a no-brainer IMO.

I would be so sad if I ordered a JPN New 3DS XL, and Nintendo dropped an update while it was shipping.
The longer you put it off the more likely it is that an update will drop before it arrives. May I ask why you're wanting a Japanese n3DS over an Australian one? Keep in mind that if a vulnerability patching update is pushed before your n3DS arrives there is absolutely no way to update to an exploitable version. It could be many, *many* months before a game packed with the 9.0-9.2 update is released. You'll have to keep a close eye on every single Japanese release over the next few months, then have to find a reasonably priced copy to import and wait an additional couple of weeks for it to arrive.

More hassle than it's worth if you ask me.

The AUS is 9.x guaranteed, how is it guaranteed? Not doubting or anything I just assumed it was 8.1
Australian here, bought one in store on day of release. I can guarantee they'll have 9.x installed.

True, I forgot to mention it was "much more expensive" earlier because the shipping for me from Play-Asia is +30 pounds ^^' ..
