Advantages to Emunand:

1. can upgrade to latest firmware while maintaining original entry point
2. safeguard measure, against having .cia installs gone wrong, usually by dopes; destroying own sysnand
3. acts as backup, can be backed up. easier to read and restore from sd, compared to 3ds nand
4. if latest firmware is blocked, one can restore prev fw (read point 3). these fixes come fast anyway.

Disadvantages to Emunand:
???

Can't imagine them leaving emunand out..

Okay, I have to admit, I'll be damned, the Gateway Team...wow....the 4.5 limitation, shy of Emunand.....wow. Excuse me while I recover from the epicness explosion my brain just had. And with me getting a 3DS very soon.... The day has finally arrived, and yes, I was wrong, but I'm glad I was corrected. They really pulled through.

Who cares about English language? Plus I have been importing games for the past 20 years, so know how to read Japanese. Multi Region on GW can easily bypass that for games

Ohh I see. I really do not get multirom. Can i play North American physical games that I own on a Japanese or Australian 3DS or just downloaded ROMs?

Yeah, you could say that, I am genuinely pretty damned impressed, like, the 3DS is blown wide open, and can be used in conjunction with Ninjax, so...I suppose one could say that. heh. Either way, whether via one hack or another, homebrew is a lot easier to run.

On current 4.5 GW, Classic mode is for physical real carts, so imports will boot. All region roms boot no matter what, so with this new 9.2 support, all known region roms will boot on any region system. For classic mode, that is to be announced, as 9.2 support may not behave like 4.5. We all have to see.

Wheres everybody in the UK getting there N3DS from? The only ones I can find are on eBay from AUS, £200 delivered, not bad I suppose but was hoping to find one a little cheaper, within the £150-£180 range.

I told all you guys it based on deduction it has to be a kernel exploit. Looks like I was right after all because common sense wins.

Screw you guys for getting me banned. Ban me again. It'll prove to everyone that GBAtemp mods are assholes who ban people for no reason.
and i deduce that....errrr you probably just got yourself banned again for ban-evading

only after nintendo released a newer firmware we'll know whether emunand is left out or not.

365games.co.uk sells them if you want an AUS one. £175 for the xl. They are out of stock at the moment, but are suppose to get more net week.

I'm surprise you're not working with the GW team on this, oh wait they don't work on speculation. Because speculators don't get shit done but sit there and speculate.

Any downsides to getting a JPN one, not bothered about retail games. I assume I just wouldn't be able to access the EU eshop is that it? Thanks for the link
