I seem to have lost my save file now...

Yet I backed up the save file that was on the root of the SD card. >.>

My file is erased but I also made a backup of my save file that I edited within your program. It's a single FSD containing my character info.

This shit makes no sense to me.

I used a .bat to convert a savedatafiler.csu to a savedatafiler.cia and then installed the CIA onto the home screen. Every save file reads "--broken".

WTF?

Can a kind person please PM me a working savedatafiler.cia (USA region)?
You have to move to the "middle tab" to extract yor save.
Fantasy Life US is 1132 and EU is 1132.

Then, to import it back, you go to the "last tab".

Good luck!
Probably a typo. The EU version is 1131.

So, which one of the six FSD files is the one to be edited???

(_0ftl

0ftl

etc.)

I can't fathom why you guys are addressing a non issue.

I'm sorry youre having such a hard time, but the program is very simple and doesn't need instructions.
You edit export your fantasy life save, edit fl_ext0.fsd, then import it.
Also your savedatafiler isn't broken, it is working as it should, go to the ext or user tabs in it.
Instructions are all over the pages for save data filer.
I can't fathom how you were able to install savedatafiler but not find instructions that were clearly all over the thread.

K. I know you're probably in a hurry for some reason, but calm down :)
Doing such "dangerous" modification can go wrong.

Here are the steps

0) ALWAYS BACKUP YOUR SAVES FIRST
1) Extract your 1131 (EU) or 1132 (US) save with SaveDataFiler
2) Copy the content of your Filer SD folde folder to your computer
3) You'll have 6 files
so far this is what you achieved
4) The files starting with _ are "backups" and you don't need to modify them
5) The 3 remaining files are your save slots, being 0 your first slot and so on
6) Open the file corresponding to the slot you want to modify
7) edit as you like it and save
8) Re-import using DaveDataFiles

Voilá!

Cheers!

EDIT: 'd ??

In your screenshots, your file is labeled "Paladin". All six of my files are labeled fl_ext#...

A simple guide to your program would be helpful.

this should help you buddy.

Save filenames - corresponding save slot

  1. fl_ext0.fsd = slot 1 save
  2. fl_ext1.fsd = slot 2 save
  3. fl_ext2.fsd = slot 3 save
mvmiranda maybe you should add this to the OP

I put it in the program in the form of a little button.

Also, version 1.03 is available. Gender editing, Life database and maybe more??

Told ya!
I'm a little sick today and my brain isn't functioning well... guess it stayed at my bed when I woke up...
BTW it's already fixed in build 33

I was messing around with my hexeditor and i noticed something with my open files... The first section remained unique to each set of char files. On a hunch i thought it might be holding the appearance data so i copy pasted that unique section from one char onto another to see if it would change the appearance.

Actually that data holds the equipped gear for the character and the length of time they were in the game... [changed from 72 hours to 28 seconds, my starting char] --also the physical 3d models do not change but in the character info it said i was wearing the starting clothes when you first start the game, no weapon, even though i had on a dragon suit and staff on visibly. as soon as i tried to go into gear [in inventory] to see why it said castele blouse when i was wearing a dragon suit, it froze [because the values were different from the 3d models i'm guessing].

i dunno if op or anyone can use this, but at least it generally narrows down one small section lol. i was hoping to find appearance so i could copy over a char i made with dlc facial options over one without dlc options but o well : P

here's pic of the offset, the very first chunk of info [which turns out to be what's equipped/time in game]. and thanks again to op and everyone contributing to this tool! : )
